A place to share this months goals and share how they are going. In my experience it is often easier to meet goals that follow the SMART framework ... for more information on what is the SMART framework, you can check out this post.

Encouraged format of sharing goal including example :

This months goal will be to have a more healthy routine by end of the month.

Week one - Get up at least one day setting alarm for 9 am get washed & dressed ensuring that I Eat 3 meals a day everyday

Week two - Get up at least 3 days setting alarm for 9am , get wash & dressed. Sticking to 3 meals a day. Also do at least one excercise task iin the week. (walk the dog or housework / garden)

Week three - Set alarm for 9 am everyday but one day for rest day. Get washed & dressed , sticking to to the 3 meals a day. Try do at least 3 tasks during that week. (exercise, meet a friend, housework etc)

Week four - as above however trying to complete a task everyday but a day of rest where on that day the task will be something for me to enjoy or relax.

@RaCat - my my does your month sound very busy but also at same time interesting for you ! Good thing you brought it along to our goal setting thread to work through each one of them ! I like how you mentioned you want to have a cup of tea in peace at least twice a week ( as a listener here I think I should incorporate that idea for myself too :) )

Point 7 seems more important for you I believe ? Good thing your acknowledging you want to introduce more health eating in your life ! I understand you say you dont have enough time to eat, could you trial to set times aside ? Plan meals ahead ? Whats your schedule like during the week ?

@bubblyDreamer29 oh no dont worry, haha, i dont have eating problems (i think so). My girlfriend are sending me a message each day at lunch, sometimes at dinner to remind me to eat something so I do eat :) What the problem here is that I am busy, going from school to club, from club to somewhere else and don't have time to back home and eat or stop at the cafe and take something :)

@RaCat - Oh no, I wasnt thinking you had eating problems at all :) Was just offering some suggestions to you but you know what works best for you. Thats so very kind of your girlfriend to remind you to eat, sounds like shes very loving and caring towards you ! It also sounds you run a very busy schedule during the week - what are some ways you could think of that would help incorporate more eating time amongst your busy routine ? Would it help to make something before going to work and carry it in a esky ? Work sounds very busy !

My goals for October 2016 are:

1. to finish reading one book (One that I have started is due at the library by October 23rd).

2. to enjoy the fall! I hope we'll have some nice crisp mornings, some beautiful leaves on the trees and falling, some light jacket weather. (Okay so I know that's not a SMART goal, but ... I LOVE FALL!

3. to continue meeting with my group on Tuesday evenings and my other group on Wednesday evenings, not skipping any nights, throughout the entire month.

Yes, along with all the other things I am responsible for, those are enough. ~ Platy

@fluffyUnicorns84 @bubblyDreamer29 .... I finally found this within the forum - not lost forever!

Update: I did finish one book :) in October. It was about a fox and his family and the farmers nearby. .......... I did enjoy our fall, especially walking through, stomping on, and in general playing with the fallen leaves (Bubbly, our fall in USA is roughly September to November). .......... And I actually did attend all those meetings in October. I nearly didn't go - especially to the Wednesday night one - but wanted to complete my October goal as I'd written here (fluffy smiley ) so I went.

So, hey all 7cups peoples!!!! I completed my goal for October 2016! yes

@BridgetAileen - I see you have a love and passion towards Yoga :) Thats great ! I also was thinking about recently joining myself, it is very relaxing and a good way of meditating to get yourself calm and relaxed after a busy day or week ! Seems yoga is a important part of your daily routine :) All the best for your goals !

@bubblyDreamer29, well, I'm working on it. I've not done a lot of yoga, but it's something that I do want to incorporate into my life. Right now I'm really just starting out...again. *blushes* It's a very simple, gentle routine; however, that's what I was looking for while I build up to something else. I thought that because I have knee problems and heart failure, it would be best to start off slowly. Then I can adjust as I see how things go. I hear such amazing things about the benefits of yoga and have enjoyed the bit that I've done, so I'm looking forward to more. I also hope to look into some tai chi. I have done that in the past and absolutely love it.
