In the original post It says 6 W’s but lists only 5w’s for the “S” (Specific step) So, I checked out the internet and found 2 legitimate formulas for the “S” (Specific step) of SMART method of goal setting. 5w’s and 6W’s. I like the 5 W’s so that’s the one I’m going to use.
What are the 5 W's in SMART goal setting?
Specific. The first step in the SMART goal setting process is to be as specific as possible with your goal. We recommend addressing the 5 Ws when making a goal specific: why, what, when, who, where.
What are the 6 W's of SMART goals?
What
exactly do you want to accomplish? Be specific. This is a mission statement for
your goal rather than a list. Think about the 6 W's (Who, What, When, Where,
Which, Why) and identify how this goal will be accomplished.
I didn't see any tricks for prioritizing but I know they are there somewhere because thats the big deal that keeps getting upturned by daily circumstances beyound our control. Lets get started with a shotgun list!
It is 7pm on a Monday evening,
Tuesday Morning Goal: Update a student contact list / Update bus seating chart / Get vet # & call / Contact lawn lady /
Wednesday 11:00am. Lunch with friends.
Saturday Goal: Get a crew of people to help cut my yard. It’s big, forestry and overgrown bad. Need bush hog and weed eaters, rakes and tarps
TO SORT & PRIORITIZE: Clear desk of
paperwork. / Log all receipts / Pay Bills / Call Vet for appointments (4 dogs)
/ Borrow truck to get tractor back to house / Remove back hoe, Install Bushhog
/ Repair garage area tent / Clean and weed eat garage area / Move Van to Garage
area / Remove Van transmission - deliver tranny to repair shop / Move van out of way / Move F150 to shop area /
Repair F150 A-frame / Do trenching job in town / Call friend / Repair and Set
