Weekly sharing of Goals! Week #39 (Monday 9/25/23 - Sunday 10/01/23)
I welcome anyone to commit to a goal here today.
But more importantly, talk about getting it done or why it didn't happen today.
To praise each other for our efforts and wins.
While supporting each other through trials and setbacks.
And to continue trying and not give up.
Remember:
Every Goal should be considered "Worthy".
Never belittle your achievements and be proud of yourself for your daily accomplishments!
Whether they be Complex or Simple.
Getting out of bed is a good day..... Good job I say!
Share your goals today, for support and encouragement.
@CyclingThroughLife
I hope your week is starting good.
I actually achieved my 3 goals but with no breathing room and a bad ending. At my last hour, the brakes broke on the backhoe.
Monday:
I can have a normal week if I do not get any side work because the backhoe is broken. I'm already taking on extra hours on my regular job. I hope I don't get pressurized and forced to repair the backhoe in a committed time frame even though fixing the backhoe is one of my primary goals this week. I do have a side job for next week so I have to have the backhoe fixed by then.
My TWO goals this week: + maintain daily personal maintenance.
1) Repair backhoe.
2) Sort and File paperwork from personal and work piles to completion, including appointments, receipts and bills.
Tuesday:
Yesterday was a well-rounded day. I was able to work on the backhoe some, do daily chores and pull extra hours on the job.
This morning, before work; I will clean the kitchen, fold the laundry away and update my bus lists.
My two primary goals for today are: 1) Work on backhoe. 2) Do paperwark and pay bills.
Today my goal is to relax. Yesterday was too much and I have a slight headache. Water and coffee will help 😊
@spicyavocado3788
Absolutely! Relaxing is really an important goal, especially after a hard day. I hope you meet your goal today. 😉.
@spicyavocado3788

Thank you so much 🥹🩵 that means a lot!
Wednesday: I'm starting to lose focus from doing but not accomplishing.... The backhoe problems and picking up extra hours at work are trying to derail me.
1. Continue working on backhoe.
2. Sort fridge and make salad.
3. Update Bus lists. (2 routes).
4. Start a maitenance notebook for backhoe.
5. Clean kitchen and keep clean.
I'm still around, no time to really sit and type...still fighting headaches on and off..yesterday was bad, sidelined me altogether after work. Today not so bad, gonna try to get a bike ride in. Stay motivated and on track folks....I'm sending good vibes
Happy Thursday, Friday for me. I really haven't done much this week between fighting my headaches and my son's soccer schedule. Work was very stressful this week. It seemed no matter what I did, I was always behind in what I needed to do, and it was very chaotic, like, all the time. Anyway, I managed to get in a strength workout in the new garage gym on Monday, and 25 miles on the bike yesterday. Tuesday was nap and today was nap, blaming the headaches. As far as the headaches go, I will be ok...I always am... I go through times, sometimes, days, sometimes weeks with them on and off, some tolerable, some terrible, usually around the time the seasons change....I have tracked them for many many years and found that they are basically weather related, barometric pressures, pollen falling, humidity, and even sudden drop or rise in temperatures. Its something I have learned to live with.
Moving on...my plan for the weekend: Tomorrow, pay bills and balance my accounts....get in a workout of some sort, and then an away soccer game...its 2 hours away....with a 7pm kick off...its gonna be a late night.....
Saturday: Catch up on laundry, mow the grass, for hopefully the last time this year, get in a bike ride of some sort, and continue getting the things put away for winter.
Sunday: I was able to take the day off work....hopefully I am doing nothing that day......
Everyone out there, keep up the good work...I'm pulling for you...
@CyclingThroughLife
I'm thinking the new garage gym must feel pretty awesome. If it was me I would probably go down there and look at it and say wow this feels so good. I'd absorb the feel good vibes for quite a while I think. I'm glad to hear you got it done and able to enjoy it now.
I guess you've learned how to navigate your migraines but I'm really sorry you gotta deal with that. Anything that slows us down and doesn't serve a purpose is kind of discouraging. You say it's been going on most of your life so that's good that you adapted to it.... but still.....😕
it's Friday and it's my Friday. I didn't do too well this week at all. I don't know where everything went haywire but I'm just thinking now where do I go to pick up the pieces. I've just been perpetually tired, I took a couple extra hours on in the afternoons so that might have a little bit to do with it but mostly I think my comfort food diet has finally caught up with me and got me feeling down in the dumps.
I went and bought a bunch of vegetables to try to maintain a large vegetable diet for the next few weeks to regenerate and blend it into a weight reduction plan.
This backhoe is a new experience for me and even though I have a lot of mechanical experience I don't have any on a backhoe like this so whenever anything goes broken, it's kind of triple the brain work and physical work to get it back to run. I've had three rain days this week and just the thought of working on it is stressing me. I have to work on it this weekend and I don't really feel like it I would love just to sleep for two freaking whole days but that's just not feasible.
RAMBLING SATURDAY:
Ramble #1: I'm just gonna be rambling on today. A whole lot of mixed up thoughts and disjointed paragraphs. I hardly got out of bed today but sleeping in until 730am was the most I ws able to do until my conscience kept slapping my face with reality.
Yesterday evening I was supposed to clean up the kitchen but instead I cooked up a bunch of food. I always cook a lot of food when I stress. None of it goes to waste but a lot of extra work is created to clean the kitchen and pack the foods for the freezer. So I'm kicking myself in the **** for that because I got a mess in the kitchen. I guess that's the first place for me to tackle.
I have 4 indoor/outdoor dogs but mostly they're outdoor dogs. A small medium, then a medium, then a medium large and then a large. I got the doors open for the cold morning fresh air and the dogs love being able to come in and go out as they please but they're really excited this morning. They actually want me to go out there and play with them because I work outside a lot and so when I'm out there they love it. I have one of them that keeps running in and barking at me and running to the open door barking at it and then coming back and barking at me some more. And when I do go out they all start to show off by fighting each other playfully.
RAMBLING SATURDAY:
Ramble #2: It's 10:30am and I did a good job washing all the pots and pans, dishes the crock pot. I save all my vegetables and bones in one gallon bags in the freezer so I took the time to cook all those up for a good stock and clean out the freezer.
I hate that it's already 10:30 AM but I'm glad I got the kitchen cleaned up. I went to harbor freight yesterday and bought a high-powered impact wrench with the battery packs and the battery chargers. I got all those opened up and got the batteries charging. I wanted this to make it easier for me to work on the backhoe, there's some pretty intense nuts and bolts on that machine.
I ran across some good deals yesterday shopping. I love those discount baskets and I bought a bunch of stuff at a fraction of the regular price like big family boxes of Taco kits for $1.21 each and $4 candy for $0.50 and $0.60 each. I got all the candy because I give the kids on the bus treats every now and then and plus Halloween is coming and so I don't have to spend a lot of money for the 40 kids on the bus.
I try to be a positive influence for the kids on the bus because I'm the first guy they see and the last guy they see in the school day. I've been trying to start a work program for some of the older kids and teach them how to use tools and stuff. I'm a tradesman and a Craftsman and I have the tools, land and ability to try to do that. Sadly one of my students has anger issues and he got into a big deal stealing his grandmother's car and threatening her so that has been wearing heavy on my mind. I was active throughout the incident and now I should follow up and go over there but I don't know how much help or harm I can do. That wears on my mind as I'm also trying to clean up the messes off the living room table, kitchen table and laundry room area. It seems petty and selfish.
I'll probably give the grandma call in a little while here and see what's going on and in the mean time, trying to get those other chores done.
