I welcome anyone to commit to a goal here today.

But more importantly, talk about getting it done or why it didn't happen today.

To praise each other for our efforts and wins.

While supporting each other through trials and setbacks.

And to continue trying and not give up.

Remember:
Every Goal should be considered "Worthy".
Never belittle your achievements and be proud of yourself for your daily accomplishments!
Whether they be Complex or Simple.
Getting out of bed is a good day..... Good job I say!

Share your goals today, for support and encouragement.

I've added a "soft" tag list to this thread because I start a new thread every week and sometimes it gets lost and is hard to find. If you want to be removed or added, please let me know but always visit when you can. We love to hear from you! 💗.

CAN YOU RELAX? DO YOU LAUGH OUT LOUD ANYMORE? HOW DO WE GET BACK TO THAT ABILITY, THAT MAGIC? THE BELLY LAUGH AND RECKLESS ABANDON TOWARDS A FEELING OF RELIEF AND JOY?

Hello everyone. You guys that followed me last week, you know it was a fight. I want to let you know I came out on top. (Thank you so much for your support encouragement and company 😀💗)

Today is Monday and all my vegetables are processed..... Juices, salads and soups will dominate my menu this week. I believe all my cold symptoms are gone. Mentally and physically I start today with some normal optimism for the week. This feels SOOOOO good right now.

It is this feeling that reminds me to keep fighting in the darkest of times. (I know the ebb & flow will happen; if I let it). It is so much more doable and possible with friends and friendly interactions.

This is a momentous week for me, as all the roads I've been laying for the past few years are starting to converge at one intersection. My chores are caught up, my spirits are lifted and my health condition is on an upswing. And I start my permanent carrer/work plan.

May Week 6 of 2024 also bring you the bounties of your efforts thus far. 😀. Keep us posted!

@IsayUncle and everyone

It's great to see the supportive group here growing.  Sorry I've not been posting here recently.  This year is so, so busy right now.  I am trying to keep up but time is so crazy for me.  My goal is to have things slow down in about a month.  As always, I'm writing curriculum, but I calculated out that I will be done writing it all in 13 weeks maximum, but if I really push it, less time than that.

I want to just encourage everyone - know that we can do what we need to do as it needs to be done.  Taking each day, one day at a time.  I know I have 13 weeks ahead of me, but for today, I just have toda

Thanks everyone for being here.  IsayUncle, thank you for starting this supportive thread.

@KristenHR

Thank you and thank you for being here. You're always so swamped with your trainees and your curriculums that you are a constant encouragement to me keep working and to keep trying to get it done.

I know that you're super busy and that makes really special when you come in and check in on us. That's good that you got a work plan. I hope you make good progress and every week it gets more hopeful that you can finish up in your time frame.

Today you have today and you just do the best you can. Keep working in that direction and before you know it you'll be doing really good towards your goal.

You got this Kristen and remember take a day to breathe and regroup if you start to burnout and get to feeling super puny.

You work so very hard, you truly are an inspiration. 😀

It was so nice to read your post this morning. To read that you're caught up on your chores and got foods prepped for the week is awesome! And that the things you've been working towards are coming together for you! Congratulations! 😊

The weekend was busy here. There was an electrical issue that needed to be figured out. Which idk much about electric but I figured it out and fixed the problem. A faucet outside needed to be replaced. It's supposed to drain after it's turned off but - it wasn't draining the whole way and split. So new one is in place. Then I washed the vehicles 😁 I got some paint for the shed since the week is supposed to be above average temp wise and the sun has finally decided to be out - so I'm planning on painting the shed this afternoon. It's not supposed to rain until Friday. I still haven't made an appointment with the lawyer though 😕 not sure what I'm waiting for tbh

@mytwistedsoul

Thanks. It feels good! 😀.

It sounds like you've been quite industrious yourself. Fixing electrical problems, plumbing problems. It's a real bummer sometimes when you're prepared for a known problem like the draining faucet but then it doesn't work properly and you still end up having to fix it. Good job on all that.

And where did you find the energy to wash the cars? 🤣. We've been enjoying some nicer weather too. Sunshine has been fantastic and everything is a bit warmer so it's been really nice outside this week. It came at a good time, lifting the spirits too.

Ya know, with the lawyer thing; that was a kind of a traumatic start but you got some of it figured out and you made it to a good rest area for the moment. That's the way I see it and that's a very good thing. I'm sure you'll be ready to approach it again soon. Perhaps it'll be a bit more sensible and smoother. Let it rest a bit until your ready.

(Good luck getting your shed painted)

@IsayUncle The sunshine has been nice. We had went 46 days without before this week. I was jonesing for some sun - it definitely does lift the spirits. I noticed the other day that the dogwood has buds on it. It's supposed to get cold again. It'll probably get the fruit trees this year again

 Thanks for the encouragement about the lawyer - I told myself I'll call to make an appointment next week
I did get the shed painted though. Hope you had a nice week

WOW... So professional and efficient looking! Beautiful Job, and the security of having that space will last for years to come! (And it's done! YAY!)

I'm having a crazy week of ups and downs. Seriously thinking the ups are winning but they are not showing thier complete hands yet. 😵😬🤣.

What a crazy mixed bag of emotions. It is said to be careful what you wish for. This week, week 6 of 2024 has realized me my desire of having my own equipment and severing a detrimental and failing partnership.

And that is the beginning of this week's story. The setting is the need to make money every week to maintain my bills. My backup plan of working for someone else a couple days a week has not materialized and so it is extremely urgent to develop a steady income.

Absorbing the reality that I have everything I've wished for along with the fact that I have no other obligations, like taking classes, learning other things, or trying to work two different or three different jobs, and etcetera.

What a story, but for now..... Clean kitchen and prep for the day..... (with the use of one arm, Whaaaat?)😂

WEEK 6 is a momentus week for me. So many good possibilities, only to be chopped down by so many realities. I got my equipment and I even have a job I started. BUT BUT BUT...... my old partner did not care for the equipment and within one hour of digging, I blew another hydraulic line. While repairing that one I noticed another bad one and so I removed both for repair.

In addition to the broken hydraulic lines, the large rear tire of the backhoe has been going flat for a month which was never repaired, just filled if needed because it was a slow leak. I decided to remove that and get it repaired after fixing the hydraulic lines.

An added stressor was agreeing to let a friend of a friend use my smaller tractor. My friend asked me of this favor and I agreed. BUT BUT BUT.... after several hours of it not being returned I went to the house where it was supposed to be, being used. There was no tractor and no activity, like it had NOT been there at all..........

....... to be continued 🙃.

Yesterday, I got very little done. Under these circumstances, it is not acceptable. Every day of non-accomplishment is a day wasted towards earning a monetary income. And I have no efficient income.

Today.... Do Better getting my nuisance and pertinant chores done. Cleaning the kitchen and starting my paperwork are my starting points this morning.

Soooo..... About my missing tractor. I called my friend told him what was going on with the tractor and he was just as surprised as I was that it wasn't where it was supposed to be. That worried me even more. As my friend couldn't get in touch with his friends that took the tractor, my worry increased. I didn't know these people who's to say they didn't drive it out of county and sell it to somebody else. That was not likely and not probable but still it was becoming a real concern because of the weirdness of the situation.

With my mind greatly preoccupied, I went to the parts store to get the hoses repaired and of course they couldn't do it then and I had to wait until the next day. But on the way out of the parts store my toe caught a piece of rebar and I face planted on the concrete parking lot. I fell hard and hurt my shoulder badly. My left arm was not usable and in a lot of pain......

...... to be continued.🤨

Week 6 is still a momentus week! (1) I got out from the old partnership with complete control of the equipment. (2) I have an active job I can earn money at. (3) I have a new Co-worker that brings a LOT to the table... Working garage, Welding initiated, Trucks and trailers to help haul equipment, We have a Like minded approach to the business.

I wasted yesterday; Justifiable with all things considered. BUT I cannot have a repeat today.

I got my dishes done and now I need to sort the laundry room and the kitchen table.

My Week 6 ... filled with big moments! (Advantagous and Detrimental)

The biggest setback was the fall I took which traumatized my left shoulder which was already limited due to arthiritus. Having the equipment break down immediately kept me from working the job while everything was dry. Now it has rained this weekend and will continue into the week.

I was fortunate to have an industrious 12 year old, of the farm family help me do the repairs on the equipment. I could not move the upper arm, only my elbow and lower arm. It was impossible for me to reach up to secure fittings and fasteners. The helper saved the day and we were able to get all the repairs completed.

After two days, I started to get limited movement of my shoulder but I did not think I would be able to drive the big truck. I decided to try anyway and my coworker and I got all the equipment loaded  and brought it to our properties.... That was significant because it got it off my ex-partners property. It was painful but I was able to drive the big truck. That was critical because that is what will pay the bills. It was good news, even though hard to do.

TODAY IS SUNDAY and I earned no income for week #6 plus had to spend 100's of dollars for repairs.

BUT for some reason, I'm Hopeful. I think that reason is gratitude. I'm grateful that young man helped me get tha repairs done. I'm grateful my co-worker is fitting himself into the schedule. I'm grateful I'm able to operate the the big truck and the equipment and I know the pain and immobility will lessen as time heals the body. I'm grateful to know I have some jobs lined up when the weather dries up. I'm grateful, knowing I have the foundation and means to earn a realistic income.

SUPERBOWL SUNDAY! I am not a follower of sports but my Co-worker is and so we will bond later on today with some hot-wings and football. I'm preparing the wings and four different hot wing sauces. I'm also rooting for the Chiefs!

If I could get a large chunk of my paperwork done before the game, that may help me have extra time to earn money next week.

I HOPE EVERYONE IS DOING OK THIS WEEK. WELL WISHES, KINDNESS AND LOVE BEING SENT TO YOU ALL AT THIS WEEKS END.

@IsayUncle Dang man I'm sorry to hear about your fall. It always sucks when there's souch to do and then something happens that limits our mobility. It's awesome though that you found someone able to help you fix what needed to be fixed on the equipment

Any luck with the tractor? How's the shoulder now? Do you put a heating pad on it or anything?

@mytwistedsoul

Thank You. Everything is moving forward but painfully slow. (literally and figuretively hehe). Shoulder mobility is improving in small increments daily. Pain medicine is helping. Equipment maintenance and repairs continue.
