Music Buddy?
Hello there!
So there was a time when I used to talk a lot about music with my friends and some known ones on 7 cups. But with time most of them left the site or I lost contact with them , especially when I was moved to oldie side. I didn't knew most of the people here and I noticed people weren't talking much about music on oldie side. And most of the rooms were not that active either where I could talk about it and some chats are highly active that I don't understand what to say. I'm basically a music person. I like listening music a lot.
Basically I love talking about my interest in music and I am also like sharing links with people here . I'm seeking people who are like me and they also want someone who they can talk about their taste of music, Share links and ask for that in return too. 😁😁😁😁
So what a music Buddy simply is?
its a idea that I've been thinking of since a long while, for me a music buddy would simply be someone who I could talk to and they would like to share music with me.
so if you're also interested in being my "music buddy" you can reply to this thread by typing "Yes I can be your music buddy" . Also if you're also interested in getting a music buddy you can type "I'm looking for a music buddy too" if anyone interested they can reply to each other.

African music is a really vague term... I listen to African music too but not all kinds of African music... Please which kinds do you listen to(Also is it music from every African country or just a few countries? ) ... You can also try out Reggae too if you haven't already

Hi!
I mainly listen to West African music. I love Youssou Ndour, Ismael Lo (from Senegal), Salif Keita (Mali)...I prefer "classic" african music to modern African music. But there are artists of my generation that I like. I recommend you to listen to Sauti Sol if you don't know them. They are from Kenya. Their song "Insecure" is my song of the moment.
If you have any reggae artists to recommend me, it would be great.

I will try out the songs and artists that you recommended... And for Reggae you can try out Bob Marley.. I like African music from Ghana and Nigeria which are also in West Africa but I'm not really picky... If it sounds good I like it

Hi! It's been a while, I hope you're doing well. I took the time to listen to Bob Marley as you suggested. I started with the Soul Rebels album. And I must say I really enjoyed discovering that album. My favorite song is "It's Alright".

I am glad you liked Bob Marley. I also tried out the songs that you suggested I really liked Insecure and Tweyagale.. They were all cool though.. I have been having some anxiety and feeling kind of depressed lately .. Do you have any song suggestions to keep me company... So far I've just been listening to sad songs like Paralyzed by NF and Happiness by Token

Hi, I'd love to be a music buddy! I listen to a lot of different types of music, especially soft rock. Try the "Soft Rock" playlist if you have Spotify- it's good.
I also highly recommend indie rock artists like the Overcoats, Lucy Dacus, Waxahatchee. There's also an EP I like called boygenius by Julien Baker, Phoebe Bridgers and Lucy Dacus.
I don't listen to much pop, but I see good recs here!
