How to handle excessive OCD thoughts during locking something
So I dont know if what I am about to write makes any sense to all the readers . But lately I have observed that whenever I am locking something I have to cross check it a number of times whether I have locked that thing properly or not . Even after cross checking I get these unpleasant thoughts in my head about what-if that thing hasn't been locked properly .
Do I make any sense ? Has anyone of you experienced this thing ? If yes , any advise on how to overcome this thing.

heya!! İ haven't been trough something similar but what you explained "does" really make sence... must be annoying for you, not being able to help worrying about it...
İf the thought of maybe it hasn't been locked properly makes you anxious maybe using a sensor on doors would help?? I mean a sensor which will notify you if house or car or any other thing you locked opens... so you can be sure nothing bad will happen??
by the way sometimes asking for someone else to check and confirm can help you worry less

Hello there . Thanks so much for taking out time and replying to my post . Thankfully , I have kinda overcome my problem to some extent . My psychiatrist had to alter my meds and hence because of that I have seen enough improvement in dealing this problem . :)
@calmsoulmeet happy to hear the great neeews
