Hi there, about few months ago I was diagnosed with OCD, although I believe it's about years that I suffer from it.

I would like to receive support, & also Im eager to hear your story about obsessive compulsive disorder.

Something random: one time I was reading about ocd, i read about the theory that people with ocd are usually more considering; would you agree?

What helps me first is to get enough rest. I do meditation and have a gratitude journal. Socializing with people who have had similar experiences as mine also helps. Doing something I enjoy like playing my electric keyboard is helpful. Does any of those things sound like they could be useful?

@NobleSeeker Hi! I have also struggled with OCD in the past and still continue to sometimes. It was something I struggled with pretty much my whole childhood but I did not realize it was OCD until my senior year in high school. Earlier on in high school I realized that I had OCD, but I did not realize how deeply rooted is was in my life growing up. I had so many routines and random small acts that needed to be done within these routines and finally one day looking back I realized that was how my OCD manifested in my childhood. As I got older it started to morph into OCD related to an eating disorder, but it was so interesting for me to look back and realize that I had been dealing with OCD for much longer than I thought. I would love to hear more about your experience!

Hi NobleSeeker, I also have OCD. I am sorry yo hear that is difficult for you. I have been dealing with it for most of my life. I think that people with OCD are sensitive people and we also tend to be controlling of things and people. That might be because we suffer from a lot of self doubt and we crave certainty in a very uncertain world. What do you think about that?
