I never thought this would happen.

I want to be mad at her for being careless, but she and the baby don’t need that stress

That is a very difficult place to be in. I'm glad you realize the caution of stressing her during this time which can adversely affect her and the child's health. I hope you're able to navigate this situation out with her

Teen moms definitely have it harder than most of those that have babies when they're older but surely stressful and emotionally exhausting all at the same time. I personally don't have children of my own but I do believe that she'll be a great mom and if she's got support for you and her family and friends ar school i do believe she'll be alright and successful by getting through school and graduating lots of teens can manage it.

I've had a few friends who were teen moms they did great!

I know its not the ideal thing but everyones path id different and has lots of challenges and hurdles. 💕💕💕💕💕💕

@compassionateMan2354 You need to criminally prosecute the person who got her pregnant.

I'm so sorry that you are all going through the challenge of this life-changing event. It is the kind of thing that shifts everything and brings a lot of complicated emotions and thoughts to all of you.

As others have said, it is important to talk through all of your feelings so they don't affect your relationship with your daughter, and so that you can come to a feeling of peace within yourself, and I hope you find this site a safe place to do that. Your "baby" having a baby means changes for not only her but also for you. It is a time fraught with worries about her health and future, as well as that of the baby she is carrying. It is also a time for you to go through some grieving about the life you had envisioned she would have and "re-calibrating" to figure out what all of this means to that vision. Parenting is a big job always, and parenting in this context is just plain complicated.

She has come to you and told you about this, and just from the little you wrote here, it is obvious that both of those things point to you being a good, conscientious parent. I have no doubt that the love you show in expressing concern for her first, above your own anger, will help you guide her to make good decisions and be an example for her on her own path to figuring out these very adult things.

If you want to talk, please reach out. Either I or any of the wonderful listeners here would be happy to be supportive and hear you out-- you deserve care too!

@compassionateMan2354 Every man faces the consequences of his own sins.

Pray that the child is raised decently.

@compassionateMan2354 This must've been so shocking. What does her partner say? Keeping the baby?

my father didn’t let me have a bf. As I got older I was scared to even have sexual relationships. When I got pregnant at 19 I trusted my mom, but she made us get an abortion. I was clueless , uneducated , and scared so we did as she told us. The second time around we didn’t tell her and my dad didn’t see me until I was 9 months pregnant. I love my son so much ! I’m glad I had him at 21. Now I’m pregnant at 35 with my 2nd child. And let me tell you , there is no right or wrong time to be a mother. It’s all the same struggle. I just find it much easier when younger. It’s not the baby that sets us back, it’s the person we have a family with. Hope she is happy through out whatever happens. A fathers love is very important. Congratulations!

@compassionateMan2354 My heart goes out to you as you process this difficult situation for your daughter and your family. Clearly you care about her and want what's best for her and her baby. Your compassion and love for your daughter shows, and you are on a good path to show support and love for her - even if you don't fully know yet what that looks like.

@compassionateMan2354 Do you want to be honest with her? If so tell her what you said here and then ask her what she thinks she will have to do now...

I know we're not supposed to give advice here, so please forgive me if I'm way off ;=)
