Breaking free!!!!
I don't control my thoughts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I can't control my thoughts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@straightforwardThinker5344 It's hard that you can't control them, that must have created a lot of frustration. What are the thoughts telling you? I have read that a way to lessen the control they have over you is to identify them as a separate entity, and asking yourself "Is this thought mine or the anxiety talking?" I hope you will have better days.

I'm reading this as a positive thing. Like before you felt a strong need to control your thoughts, but now you you've been released from that burden upon seeing that it's impossible. If I'm understanding, then congratulations! (If I've misunderstood, then I apologize and feel free to ignore this.)
By the way, I like the Bible quote in your profile.
Here are a few I was able to find related to control:
- "Lord, I know that people’s lives are not their own; it is not for them to direct their steps." -Jeremiah 10:23
- Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it. -Ecclesiastes 12:7
- "When I am afraid, I put my trust in you." -Psalm 56:3
Thoughts appear seemingly from the void without cause, but then they pass along and return to the void.
@QuietMagic this is really thoughtful of you, thank you for this post.
