Hello everyone,

I would like to know how individuals with BDP (borderline personality disorder) and/or S.A.D (Seasonal Affective disorder) cope.  with my BDP I am trying to do CBTm online courses and see councilors and have taken some time off work to try to work on myself. i have partner who is there for Me but my BDP is making things harder because as I am trying to seek and do the work needed to make myself mentally better, my BDP wants to cause fights and continue to break up with my partner. I ALWAYS apologize after as I don't want to break up, but in the moment whatever is said, is said. I get so mad at times that we can be having a conversation and then the next time he brings it up, literally can not remember even having that discussion. Any advice? I am in the process of journaling, writing on here, talking to counselors, doing self help courses and online guided courses but it is so hard as it has to come from Me. i need to do the work.

Any advice would be helpful.

Thank you.

I'm really sorry to hear that you are struggling 🥺

What works for me with sad, is taking vitamins, staying warm, plenty of layers, doing something that makes you happy, so that you don't focus on the darkness and the miserable weather.

Please be gentle with yourself.

Sending you my love and best wishes 💜 💕

A pleasure 💜

I tend to take a multivitamin that gives us all we need, your pharmacist would be able to suggest the best one 🥰

Hi there 💜 Re: BPD, have you tried looking into self-help resources related to DBT (dialectical behavior therapy)? Compared to CBT, it's more targeted toward the specific experiences/challenges associated with BPD, and tends to have more of an emphasis on validation/acceptance:

There are some other resources listed here:

Re: Seasonal Affective Disorder, if you're willing to get a light box, that's something that helps a lot of people.

Seems like there are some nuances though where the box has to be bright enough or else it doesn't do much.

Hello,

Thank you for the links, I will take a look at them. I will be looking more into the DBT. I know my counselor want to try EMT.

Thank you❤️
