Hint #5: How to stop thinking (self-harm)
BPD
we need to breakup.
You go your way.
I will go my way.
leaveme alone.
* I will find someone to love me in a way I feel I deserve to be loved and I won't believe they are trying to wrong me in anyway.
BPD Never think of me & never visit.
BPD none of ''OUR" time together has been enjoyable.
You are very One sided.
I am sick of you!
I want to be happy.
I want to be happy because I deserve to be happy.
You have NO reason to linger.
✌🏻 _ kick rocks.
We are done.
**** *** *** * **** **** ** **** **** * ** ** **** *** ***********
yeah
I would say, “I appreciate you running interference and trying to protect me all those times when I didn’t know how to handle my feelings. I’m working very hard to learn skills to help me through hard times, because even if you mean well, your behavior hurts other people and it hurts me too. I am deeply grateful for the way you’ve helped me see that I need new skills to regulate my emotions. I wanted to let you know about this plan so when the time comes, you will not be surprised when I try out my new skills.”
If I could say something to my BPD, it would be thank you for trying to protect my mental/physical health. Thank you for taking on what I could not in difficult times. Except, please stop sabotaging me!!! lol
- let me be in love without suddenly second-guessing it all, and feeling the need to run away when I was just so happy, now i suddenly feel disconnected again and so unsure of everything around me.
- stop having such a fragile sense of self, I generally am consistent in all my relationships so why does my self-image change so much to where I love or hate myself, or think I'm so hot, and then suddenly so ugly?
- be gentle with yourself, it's not easy trying to pretend like you're okay all the time, and it's important to celebrate little victories when some days are harder than others.
@Stop
That makes sense what you're saying about having an urge to flee from relationships but then feeling after the fact like something happy has been lost. And it feeling destabilizing to have your sense of self and feelings toward yourself shifting around in a way that doesn't feel like it always lines up with anything outside of you.
I like what you've said about being gentle with yourself. 💜 Sometimes that extra patience/compassion can feel really necessary and can make a big difference when things are fragile or chaotic.
Dear BPD, **** *** ** ***** ******* i ******* hate living with you **. leave me the **** alone and **** ***. Thank you. 🤗
@ve3ciel thank you for sharing. Your struggle is valid.
I'm not sick because of you, neither am I ill because of you, I refuse to accept that defeat.
The label you are just explains my maladaptive coping mechanisms alongside a variation of flawed thought processes, self destructive impulsive behaviours with a interchangeable identity, you are nothing, i choose my actions ultimately based on the best of my abilities, just like everyone else.
you may amplify the chaos in my life and put me in full blown crisis due to the level of ability and decisions I make far to often but it's me who deals with it, and it's me learning the skills to manage it and hopefully prevent it, at least minimise frequency.
the detrimental issues caused due to lack of insight have resulted in a eventful, risky, turbulent life that's been very interesting and painful for the best part but has never held me back from succeeding in some awesome accomplishments, you may have even helped achieve those with stubbornness and impulsively to try achieving something against the odds.
my only real fight with you now I have insight and am strengthening my skills is to the death, will nature win or you... only time will tell
@Pointlesswords
I like what you've said about not being defined by the BPD label. It's an explanatory label that captures some processes that are happening--but you're not some intrinsically sick person, you make choices and try your best like anybody else, you're discovering and acquiring skills, there are successful things happening in your life that have nothing to do with BPD, and there are possibly some successes that were only possible because you were able to leverage positive tendencies related to BPD.
BPD: I feel like all you do is ruin my life. I wish I never met you. Yet at the same time, we have been together so long that I don't know life without you...
Go away respectfully:)
i would 1000% say “GFY” this disorder is the most painful thing I’ve ever had to experience
