How are you feeling today?....Today I was feeling relaxed. As I've just ended a several-day vacation that was much needed..and it has left me feeling ready to take on the week ahead a little better. (Especially knowing there's a long 3 day weekend ahead again)!
What is something helpful that you've learned recently?....Well, I can't really say that I "learned" it "recently", but while away on vacation I feel that I was able to learn to stand a little firmer and make some decisions on some things that I've been putting off.... and that are no longer making me happy or serving a positive purpose for me. Even if it means being a little uncomfortable in doing so, and knowing it will also affect a few others as well.
@PoliteOcean
That sounds really wonderful being able to have that break to recover your energy and feel ready to return back to your activities. 💜 (Action creates rest, rest creates action, etc.)
And that sounds very helpful being able to affirm, "These things aren't working anymore and now feels like the right time for me to change them, despite the possible instability. This needs to happen and it's worth the discomfort/risk."
@QuietMagic1. How are you feeling today?
Still not very good. I had my second covid vaccine two days ago and I am having reactions.
2. What is something helpful that you've learned recently?
It’s not something I learned, but it’s something I remembered. Someone said some things and I got upset. Then I remembered that only I have control over myself. She does not have control over me. Only I control my emotions and feelings. Then I quickly got over what she said to me.

Aw, yeah I remember I had some rough side effects too for a few days. I went into it expecting to feel terrible so at least I wasn't surprised. Congrats on finishing the second dose though, and I hope you're feeling better soon. 💜
That's pretty awesome that you were able to remember that thought and have it work wonders in real time. 😊
@QuietMagic
I'm feeling really depressed today. Something I learned is about 7cups. This is my first time posting here and I'm trying to use this website to get some support. I'm kind of desperate for any.
@bestBalloon3900
Hi, welcome to 7 Cups. 💜 I'm sorry that you've been feeling depressed but glad you felt comfortable trying to come here and seek support.
Based on looking at the badges in your profile page, it looks like you've already found a lot of what the site has to offer in the past few days, but I'll pass along a couple links in case:
Browse Listeners - Best way to find listeners for a 1-on-1 chat. Link is filtered to verified listeners (i.e. listeners who have been vetted by the community). Can also filter further by chat topic, whether listener has lived experience with that topic, search for keywords in the listener's profile bio, etc.

Hi @QuietMagic
I'm feeling a lot of things today. I was bullied into quitting my job because I couldn't contain some of my mental health symptoms at work. Feeling rather unworthy right now.
Something I have learned recently is how healthy communication helps all situations
@QuietMagic
how am I feeling? emotional and that it's easier to give up.. feeling socially unacceptaed and confused, disappointed in myself along with hatered for people who exploit vulnerable people, especially by prioritising worthless money over others well-being at any cost.
what have I learned?
That despite my efforts we don't get to choose who we are and battles we must face
@Pointlesswords
Hi--appreciate your posting and your honesty. Yeah, it's definitely a source of anger for me too that there are people who are willing to take advantage of others and hurt them needlessly while under the influence of greed. Sometimes I feel a bit powerless that I can't really stop others from causing/receiving harm.
If you want to, inviting you to share more about those feelings of being socially rejected and disappointed in yourself, either here if you feel like it or by PM.
That feels wise (if unfortunate sometimes) what you've said that we're thrown into being a certain way or having to struggle with certain things. Like, that's just our current set of starting conditions and we have to use whatever resources we're able to salvage.
Been going through a rough time lately but, I know in the end things will get better I just gotta keep fighting. All of you keep fighting as well I love every single one of you.
Remember every single one of us is in this together remember that you are not alone because I am right in the dark beside you.
I am feeling ok just tired.
Something helpful which I have learnt is that when you are doing something eg helping someone or listnening to people's problems can have more of an impact on someone than you may think when you carry out the action.
