@QuietMagic

Hi, thanks for asking these questions, I am currently working jobs to help my Mum pay the bills, jobs I don't desire to do in the future. But what i am excited for is becoming more experienced in people skills and confidence, but eventually getting my dream job 😍

Sending hugs to you all :)

Hi, that does sound exciting being able to develop these skills to be able to get the job that you're looking for! I have a lot of respect for the work you're currently doing too; they aren't jobs you enjoy, but you're temporarily doing them because it feels necessary/helpful in order to help pay the bills.

It is great you have set goals into place. Thinking ahead into the future can set you up for success. It’s exciting to think about and important to know exactly what you want and what you will need to achieve them. Good luck!🍀

@QuietMagic, Hi, Magic!

1. How are you doing?
I'm actually feeling better since deciding not to move in with my sister, and to move on with my life without her in it.
2. What is something you're looking forward to in the future?
I'm looking forward to moving to a new apartment in May. I haven't picked one yet. I'm just in the exploring phase.

@purpleTree4652

That sounds great. 😊 Glad you were able to reach that decision and that you feel comfortable/confident with it. And moving to a new apartment sounds like a big change as well if and when that ends up happening.

@purpleTree4652

Being independent is important to many of us as human beings. I crave independence as well. Looking forward to finding a job to help out my small family. I can understand the feeling of not wanting to live with your sibling. Our world is a bit intricate and sometimes we have to reach for the things that we need and want. Hopefully you find that perfect apartment and keep striving for the best for yourself in this world.

@QuietMagic

Thanks for the questions! Glad to be a part of this little sub-community, as always.

I'm doing worse than last week, some of my coping mechanisms are at an all-time worse. I recently had a very destructive episode that kept me off the site for a few days, and I'm still recovering from that. I have hope that I will get better, though. I believe in my ability to pull myself back on my feet.

As far as something that I am looking forward to: I have a dance competition on the 29th that I'm so excited for. I am our opener! :)

@b4Damion

Hi there. 💜 Sorry that you had that really bad episode and that your coping mechanisms aren't where they normally would be. 😟 I'm glad that it feels like things have a good chance of bouncing back though. (If you feel like sharing more about any of this, you're welcome to either write more about it here or alternatively PM me, though would understand also if you'd prefer not to dig into it or share here.)

The dance competition sound exciting! 😊 Will you be busy preparing for that for the next couple weeks?

@b4Damion

Good luck on your dance competition. It sounds exciting to be the opening dancer. It’s strong of you to have the strength to pull yourself back after your destructive episode. I believe optimism is the best cure.💛

@alleywood13

Wow, I don't think I've ever talked to anybody before who's worked *at* the Super Bowl. That sounds interesting. 😊 And then lots of family celebrations around the same time as well! 💜 I also hope you have a good year.

@QuietMagic

How are you doing?
Not great, honestly. Today I had a breakdown because my blender broke.. Not because of the blender itself, obviously, it was just that situation where you've built up so much that the slightest inconvenience sets you off. And now I might be asking to move in with my Grandmother, because I think I'm getting bad again, and might not be able to be alone. It's a hard and conflicting decision, too.
What is something you're looking forward to in the future?
I like to think eventually maybe I'll move in with partner/fp, but sometimes when the topic (accidentally) comes up.. he cringes. And I'm like.. oh. So that's like.. 5050 exciting vs terrifying to think about.
Could definitely use that hug :(

@VoidyBlep

Aww, sorry about the blender. 💜 I know what you mean where there are so many stressful things piled up and then that one last thing is like the "straw that broke the camel's back".

That makes sense re: wanting to move in with your grandmother just so you're able to be with someone and you're not completely by yourself.

And yeah, sounds like you're looking forward to eventually moving in with your partner and being able to spend time with him, but he's not as enthusiastic about it. Can understand how that would be disappointing, or fearful to imagine discussing it in the future and having him possibly say no to something you'd like.
