@SilverSeastar,
Hi, Silver! Nice to meet you. People call me Tree.
Yes, the Tweedia flowers are very beautiful. Thanks for sharing that pic.
1. What are things you can do to feel better right now?
I should stop questioning my right to speak up when my rights are violated. And I should go to sleep.
2. How was your week? Are you happy?
My week was challenging. I'm growing and it means growing in how I deal with others. I feel at odds with people right now because I have been defending my rights and myself. So, now, I wouldn't say that I'm happy.
Bonus question:
3. What is your communication style?
I don't know. What are the communication styles?
@purpleTree4652
Hello, Tree! I'm sorry to hear your week was challenging. It's great that you focus on your growth and defending your rights, unfortunately some people might not respond very well. I understand this makes you unhappy, I hope it gets better for you, Tree. 💙 I really admire your courage to speak up; thank you for standing up for yourself. And yess, sleep is good. 😊 Sleep well, Tree, I hope you feel better.
These are the four communication styles: passive style, aggressive style, passive-aggressive style, and assertive style. You can read more about communication styles on this week's DBTuesday post here!

🌺 What are things you can do to feel better right now?.....Right "now" at this moment it would be to put the lap-top away and go to sleep!
🌺 How was your week?.....It was very nice. The weather here was beautiful and it was nice to get out in it, feel the sunshine, and spend time with loved ones. ~
I haven't answered these or checked-in on these in a while, as I've been taking a mental health break.. Its nice to get back into doing this again.
@SilverSeastar
What are things you can do to feel better right now?
I could stop worrying about things that I know I don't need to worry about. Easier said than done.
How was your week? Are you happy?
Spent a good portion of it in the hospital so I've definitely had better weeks. But got out yesterday so things are looking up at least.
What is your communication style?
Normally passive style, but I can flip to aggressive style real easy.
@OneErased
Hello! For sure, managing our worries is much easier said than done. I hope you find what works for you. 😊 Wishing you brighter days to come and I hope you are doing alright now that you're out of the hospital. I like how you know your communication styles so well! Thank you for checking in today 💙
Hi @SilverSeastar thanks for the pretty flowers! :)
What are things you can do to feel better right now?
Have a relaxing evening drawing and watching films
How was your week? Are you happy?
Things have been challenging this week and gone downhill a little. I don't think happy is the right word for now
Bonus question:
What is your communication style?
It was an interesting post about different communication styles, ashamedly I'm definitely passive-aggressive but trying to improve.

What are things you can do to feel better right now?
I filled out some volunteer applications after losing my job. I'm hoping to have more social anxiety exposure this summer. I'm looking forward to gaining more gardening experience and/or caring for cats again.
How was your week? Are you happy?
Finals ended this week and I'm happy to have more time for things I enjoy. I made my first clay sculpture in months and plan on painting more as well.
What is your communication style?
Not that I'd like to encourage it, but I am prone to leaning into passive-aggressiveness under stress.
My week has been up and down like usual. I wouldn’t say I’m happy exactly, but I’m managing well at the moment, and I’m excited about finishing moving.
I did something to help myself earlier today, some Socratic questioning, finding positives, remembering what I’m grateful for. It helped in this situation.
I fit all the communication styles pretty regularly unfortunately. Except the aggression style comes out once in a while, if a relationship has gone badly and I want to be done. It’s usually a bottle up after I feel like I got pushed or used for too long. I’m learning though that this never feels better in the long term and there are a variety of other ways I can handle it calmly depending on the situation. I still know if I need to end a relationship, but I would like to calmly just say goodbye and not be scared about their response.
@SilverSeastar
