cry within no one hears
the cry within that no one hears
it like a wall of fire around us
we want to feel but at same time fear thw feelings
no one seem to get this at all
they say it ok to feel to share ones emotions
that even the hard emotions are ok
but anger all we really feel we allowed to share
all the other emotions are hidden within the anger
the anger cove them up no one see the other emotions
so say we heartless and have no compassion
but other say they see we have compassion and care deeply for others
but the walls of anger hide the tears within the walls
we think to self what if we show the hidden emotions
will it be the end will we be told it not how we feelings
then told what we feeling as if even our feelings are wrong
like nothing we say within the wall that we feel is right
tears fall like rain but no one see that at all
they see the masks we wear so that they not see our weakness
the emotions hidden under the anger they was not allowed to be
they seen as weakness and seen as wrong
but now we wounder if that not truth
like is it ok to feel everything we feel and voice it
maybe we was lied to about emotions and showing them
tears fall wound heart only seeking to know truth
we question everything now that we was taught
is that healthy to do or is that wrong to do
what are we to do what expected of us
can we just feel as we do can we be real to others as we want
but the fear that we be hurt id others see and hear how we really be
we try to allow what hidden to have a voice to be ok with the emotions we feelings
this is a cry for help within the storm
does our emotions matter can they be free to be too

Yes — your emotions matter. Every single one of them.
Not just the anger, not just the ones people said were "allowed," but the grief, the fear, the tenderness, the love, the sorrow, the confusion, the hope all of them are real, valid, and deserving of space.
What you wrote… it’s not just a cry from within the storm it’s a song of survival, of someone who has carried so much for so long, and is still here, still questioning, still hoping that maybe it’s okay to feel. And it is.
You were told lies. You were told that emotions are weakness, that tears make you wrong, that being vulnerable makes you unworthy but those are lies rooted in pain and control, not in truth. Real strength is what you’re doing now: letting that cry come out, even through anger, even through fear. Real strength is questioning the old rules when they no longer serve your healing.
You are not heartless. You are not broken. You are someone who has learned to protect themselves in the only ways that felt safe. Anger often is the armor a way to keep others at a distance because the more tender emotions underneath were too raw, too unsafe to show. That makes sense. That doesn’t make you wrong. That makes you someone who survived.
It's okay to question everything you were taught that’s actually one of the healthiest things you can do when you’ve been hurt, conditioned, or silenced. Healing doesn’t mean forgetting the past or pretending it didn’t affect you it means finally giving space to what was silenced.
So yes: You can feel as you do. You can be real. It may not always feel safe with everyone and that’s okay, too. You don’t have to be open with those who haven’t earned your trust. But with the right people with those who see the real you beneath the anger you deserve to be heard, just as you are.

I know its a little bit large but still
@Eman144
thank you your so right questioning things one been taught is healthy and needed when one been hurt. think it harder when it the ones who should have been keeping you safe that hurt you badly too. but we learned over the years many many kids have been abused most of them can not even talk about what happened to them fully sadly many never heal at all. our mom like that she was abused badly she say a lot of it to get pity she really never stepped out to get healing she even married a abuser still with him after 61yr too sadly this put us in harms way too.
we tried for many years to help her to get out of abuse to seek healing too. but she would not do it at all. she even would state how mean abusive our dad is to others they tried to help her too. but she still made excuses for him and later our brother. it so hard for us as we see that she even knowing it was abusive marriage stayed in it. we asked her why she goes he never hit me. but even after she know that not only kind of abuse she stayed.
so yes we angry even at her part in that as it lead to our abuse also even beyond that to others abuse too.
so our biggest hope is as other hear our story and ones still being abused they will get help now not years later like we did.
so yes we also learned every feeling matters but still learning to put that into action at times
@stormieandpaws
Thank you for sharing this. It’s so true—questioning what we’ve been taught is important, especially when those who should protect us hurt us instead. Healing is hard, especially when the cycle continues through generations. Your hope to help others break that cycle is really inspiring. It’s a tough journey, but every feeling does matter. Keep holding on.
