We move together
A crash and they’re gone from sight,
The night swallowed them, turned day to night.
I wasn’t there to call or stay,
Just left with shock that won’t decay.
I hold my sister, small and frail,
Her whispered fears, a trembling wail.
The weight of care falls on my chest,
Supposed to guide her, give her rest.
Panic rises, sharp and wild,
It twists my gut, it chokes the mild.
My hands shake, my vision blurs,
The world’s a maze of empty slurs.
Yet still I breathe, though fear is strong,
I keep her close, we move along.
I’m broken, scared, unsure, confined,
Yet love persists in heart and mind.
We move together, scared, unsure,
Two souls alone, yet still endure.
The crash is gone, but it remains,
A shadow stitched into our veins.
@compassionaterainbow64 You've got poetic flow bow, mine is more like word salad because I'm on a diet. 😂 Caeser supreme, doctor tells me my defense is humor, I said pour me 7 cups of that tonic.
