I haven't written in a while
Maybe that's why people
Haven't been noticing my smile
Maybe that's why friends
Leave me alone on the tile

I haven't written in a while
It's my fault but
I feel like I've lost my style
It's mum's fault but
I feel like school's up on the dial

And yet, I haven't written in a long while
Even though I want to write
I haven't written since forever, a while
Even though I still write in my head at night
