@Hope Hello Hope. I joined 7 cups to help manage social anxiety and loneliness. I am also new and am still completing the steps. I do hope that I can eventually become a great listener for others going through a similar issue.
@fantasticHeart2548 I have faith in you! Really as long as you are understanding and empathetic you help a lot.
@Hope I joined 7 cups because I have struggled with mental health and still do. But also because I need 20 volunteer hours for a social welfare class.
@blackUnicorn1607 I hope this helps your mental health too as you help others but don't forget to make some time to attend to yours as well :) And good luck with getting your hours in!

Hi all, my name is Cari. I joined for support as I am losing health insurance end of the month and my therapist suggested this site. I have been diagnosed with anxiety, depression and PTSD. I also have ADHD. My son was born at 28 weeks gestation and I've had to go back on meds, etc. I've always struggled with depression and anxiety so I'm grateful I started seeing someone when I found out i was pregnant again. I had PPD with my daughter and after my ectopic pregnancy, so I knew there was a chance. Just didn't think it would be from him being born premature. He spent 8 months in the hospital and I would often sleep there with him.
I hope 7 cups can help connect me with others who can help me cope. Looking forward to talking to others,

Hello Cari, I'm sorry to hear that you're going through such a difficult situation. I was born premature so my family understands the struggle you're going through, it's scary and isolating when you have a baby who you want to care for so badly that's too fragile for you to touch. It's also sad to hear that you'll be losing a therapist, but I hope that the community here on 7cups can be a source of comfort for you. We'll always be here to listen and be with you.
Hey everyone, Im Omar and im 13 years old. I know thats young but lately my parents have been calling me really rude things like a waste of money and useless and lazy etc. . Ive been cyber bullied about 3 times and I recently had my only friend leave me. I cant make friends in the real world because of how I look and how big of an introvert I became. Ive been so insecure of how I look and I just want someone to listen to me and I really want to live up to everyones expectations of me but I just cant no matter how hard I try.

I joined 7 Cups a bit ago but hadn’t introduced myself yet.
I recently fell out of touch with several of my friends and seem to be losing myself in my head these days without anyone to talk to.
I’ve struggled with depression, anxiety, self-harm, all that fun stuff. I’m hoping this will be a chance to make a change.
