@Hope I just joined up as a listener, nice to see you all, eager to get more involved and find my way around here...just one specific question to anybody...after finishing my empathy and active listener quizzes what happens next? I THINK I am supposed to do practice chats..is that true? I am getting a bit confused...

@Hope Hey Hi Hope! Thank you for connecting with me... I am a little unclear how to move ahead. I have chatted with 4 people so far and made some mistakes... although not terrible in my opinion, and then just now I saw someone reach out and answered him but he seems to be gone...so is that ok? Was I supposed to ONLY pick up on the waiting line on the bottom of the screen? I also have some questions about how to proceed with the many trainings, and also it seems I did 2 trainings and only got credit for one...Also I coached 4 people but got credit for only 2 the last time I looked...and that leads to another question...if a member pulls the plug and wont talk anymore and then I just punch out cause they are gone...does that rob me of the credit?? Just wondering if that was the reason that was happening...members decided to reject my help and dump me.

Hi Straw! You can ask all these questions in the listener support room and get live answers. Additionally you can connect to a mentor here and they will help you. Just make sure to reach out to someone who is accepting mentees.
Call me Lasty. I have known about the site for years now, but I thought I would never need it. Until now that the worst of my anxiety got me recently. I am diagnosed with anxiety,as I mentioned, and I have been incapable of controlling it since I decided to drop out of medical school.
I just wish to have someone else to talk to, because my most trusted friend has told me thaf he can’t help. So maybe I can find it here. But I better not be left hanging. That’s my problem when I tend to seek help, that all the times I tried it doesn’t work. My last physician was a phony that made me paint things differently from what they truly are.

Hi, everyone! I just joined a few days ago and am already loving the 7 Cups community.
I was in a really bad place on and off for over a decade. I’m wasn’t totally comfortable reaching out to family for help, but liked the programs like this one where you can reach out to someone that does not know you and would not judge you.
With my experience with my own depressive episodes, I hope to help others learn to love themselves or at least feel less alone.
