Hey all Im andrianna ive struggled with SH and depression for 4 years and now i know that i want to help others and get them the help they deserve!! so yeahhhh
I dont know why i am here I never share with anyone but i would like to try. Get some of the heavy off my chest.
I'm here because I'm utterly burned out at my job of the past almost 30 years, so much so that I feel depressed, as in clinically.
I will be 60 next month. I am a tenured civil servant and work in an agency attached to the office of my country's (not the US) head of government (I do NOT do anything even remotely classified), and that's the problem. I loathe this person (I've worked with 8 heads of government since I started); I think they are awful, both personally and for what they are doing to the country. I used to love my job and thought I was really contributing to something but now I am just another hack marking time. I know civil servants are supposed to detach & leave our personal feelings & politics at the door but it has become so effing hard lately. Finding another job is really not an option; I'll have to retire from this one in 7.5 years. I need to learn how I can deal with this; I am so unhappy. I think I will look for a Listener as I don't feel comfortable talking about my situation in a public forum.
If anyone has any tips, recommendations or advice, I am all ears.
