“How can essential oils be used for emotional health?

Many people live each day struggling with low mood, anxiety and/ or depression and many are desperately seeking ways in which to help elevate and lift their moods.

Our sense of smell is our most primal and exerts most influence over our thoughts, emotions, moods and memories and behaviors. A human nose can distinguish over one trillion different aromas. It can be accurate to say we can literally smell danger as our sense of smell is inextricably connected to our survival and it plays an important part in us remembering what is safe and what isn’t.

By the time we are able to think and actually make a decision as to what we are smelling, the scent has already triggered the emotional and body responses in the body.

Smell can be beneficial and scents are experienced long before words. Scents can actually change the nervous system biochemistry and are used for relieving stress, improving mood, improving sleep, upping energy levels etc.

Queue… ‘essential oils’….. and their ability to rapidly create an emotional response within the body. Essential oils are powerful for emotional balance and wellness. Moods are often perceived as having chosen us, as if happening to us. But what if we could use essential oils to create the mood we wish to experience?

Essential oil complex molecular structure allows them to intelligently bind to receptor sites of cells in our bodies and support a desired effect to restore balance and healthy function.

Essential oils offer a refreshing and effective support tool to mood management and potentially aid in the emotional process and help to shift out from old bad habits into more positive patterns of behavior."

@innateJoy9602 Mhmm yes, it's so nice to be in a pleasant smelling space hehe, instant mood uplifter lol. I like the woody, earthy smell in sandalwood, and some floral scents like rose and lavender. 🥰

Earthy candles are nice! I like a good old rustic naturey smell now and then too. Also, yes rose and lavender are classics!💜👏
