Do you think that perception and experiences change the way everyone sees beauty? Is there such a thing as "objectively beautiful"?
*I believe that personality factors play a key role on what we see as beauty. Higher percentes of people agreeing is mostly because in today's society, beauty is a socially contructed term and of course there is no such thing as objectively beautiful.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder :)
@WhenTheTimeComes Couldn't agree more! Also confidence seems to have a magical influence on our appearance. It is truly hard to explain but we have all seen this happening!
@calmDew1576
Absolutely! It is not vaguely impactful, I can see two different individuals in my pictures from before I walked out of abuse and I learned to love myself, and since I reached independence and been my own best friend!

Hi, Dew,
Do you think that perception and experiences change the way everyone sees beauty? Is there such a thing as "objectively beautiful"?
Yes, I do think perception and experiences change the way we see beauty. It's different for everyone.
I have read that there is objective beauty using science. They have calculated the exact dimensions of graphed/drawn faces that people think are beautiful, without showing who the face belongs to...without showing the color of the skin, hair, eyes...without showing any features like beauty marks. I think that sort of objective beauty can exist.
@purpleTree4652 I can definitely see your point! I've been very interested in this and I did some research myself. So what's interesting is that if you add al the features that you mentioned, it seems that the perception about beauty completely changes! There are many factors that haven't been analyzed or included in similar researches that play a very significant role to beauty. That's where qualitative approach comes in handy! Thank you so much for your reply <3

interesting, for sure!
