7Cups has given my life greater meaning!I've been a listener all my life, sure, but my scope has been limited to my small circle of friends and family. Now with this site, I can talk to people all over the world and share my listening skills to an unlimited amount of people!
What surprises me most in my time here is that many members don't understand what us listeners get out of this site. I get too many people asking why I would want to wastemy time listening to other people's problems.
The answer to that is so simple, it's not a waste of time.All natural born listeners get ourenergy from assisting others. We simply aren't happy unless we are lending a helping ear! It's hard to understand if you aren't a listener yourself, but trust me, we need to help you to feel good about ourselves. In effect, all members are there for us, just as we are for them. Everyone is fulfilling a need by being here and it's truly amazing!
Being a Listener on 7 Cups showed that I had a voice, and that my voice mattered. It has been the most empowering experience in my life thus far.

This place showed me that the world is suffering. But, at the same time,it showed me how much hope truly exists, and how many people are willing to commit to making a difference for fellow human beings. I'm surprised my heart hasn't beatout of my chest, because each time I realize how wonderful this community is it grows three sizes. :)

I came here seeking light in darkness, and was passed a flame of hope. And I am proud to say that I gladly join together withall the other contributorshere, to share that warmth and glowwith others. No one here is without their flaws, and that's what makes this place so beautiful. We've endured, and because we have,we can help others do the same. Sharing the burden for a while until the individual is strong enough to carry it on their own.It's a gift, it really is. And I am so thankful!
I have definitely grown this year. I have learned that its ok to need a break and its ok to focus on myself when things get tough.
Thank you for an outlet, in this world of internet ambiguity... Where I can cry and be sad - unashamed or judged, supported and cradled by loving hearts. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
I've only been on 7 cups for a few months, but I have been thrilled to have found such an amazing community and a place where I can volunteer in a way that fits my very unpredictable schedule. Biggest milestone was definitely being nominated to be a mentor, but other moments that stand out are a couple of specific chats I've had that I felt were really productive and helpful.
my reflection was that i wasnt the only one with problems and i cant do everything on my own. Asking for help and going abt the problem is the only way that one can make some real progresss

How have I grown since joining 7 cups? Well...I have not only learned a lot from all the different people that I meet...but I also learn more about myself. I am encouraged by the people I speak to. Being on 7cups really helps meput things into perspective, so that I can better myself, as well as help others more. I cannot wait to see what else is in store for me, here, and look forward to the year to come! :)
