Help wanted!: Learning Disability Week (June 20 - 26th)
Hello everyone!
Learning Disability Week is coming up very soon!
It is a week to recognise learning disabilities, those living with learning disabilities and their lives and experiences. This year's theme is Friendships and Relationships. [Read more here].
Therefore, the special events team is looking to organise events and activities on the 24th in honour of this week!
We are looking for help with:
→ Writing a discussion on Learning Disabilities, as well as on Learning Disabilities and our Relationships with Others.
→ Writing a discussion on any specific learning disabilities (we already have one for dyslexia).
→ Ideas for related forum posts and activities.
→ Any suggestions or additional ideas you have!
We will also need discussion leaders, but they will be looked for closer to the date.
So if you have a learning disability or are connected with the community in some way and would like to help, please send me (QuickJazz) a message!
If you are interested in helping but not knowledgeable or experienced regarding learning disability, you are still free to help out. We primarily seek guidance, input and help from those who our events directly concern, but all are welcome.
