It's Party time!!!! Nearly :) 7cups 5th Birthday celebrations
This year, 7cups turns five years old. July 7th 2018 sees a special birthday that cannot go by without a huge party and celebration.
Many of you are already planning to hold events to celebrate the 5th birthday of cups. To help with that process, weve set up a spreadsheet for you all to add your events to, so that everyone knows whos doing what, where and when.
What wed love to see is communities holding events together, celebrating a huge milestone for 7cups collectively, inviting other communities to join them in a massive party. Though 7cups turns five on July 7th, celebrations will be held throughout the week of July 1st-7th.
You will see on the spreadsheet there are a number of events currently just waiting for people to grab them and take the opportunity of running these and this could be you!!! If you see an event that has already been taken by another community but you would also like to run this event, approach the leader of that community about co running the event, the more the merrier :)
With the amount of different people, non/sub-communities, and teams on 7cups, lets stay organized together, so that all of our events can be sign-posted together on a masterpost for our listeners and members. Please fill out the spreadsheet below, detailing your event, person responsible, when you plan to hold your event, where, the time etc so that we all know where to pop in to celebrate this huge milestone together!
Nearer the time of 7cups fifth birthday the final spreadsheet listing all the celebrations taking place will be posted up for everyone to enjoy during the party celebrations. Thanks to everyone and look forward to seeing your ideas and events coming to fruition

@PhoenixAsh Ah, I see.... umm, I'm pretty sure I listen to teens, my settings must of gotten messed up, because I'm not really much of an adult myself, you know what I mean?

I think that would be a great idea! Maybe some other threads of posting positive quotes and whoever gets the most upvotes wins a virtual medal?

@Ggrace2003 Great Idea Grace, perhaps someone who is creative and artistic could design the virtual medal and someone could put together the quiz and then you could add the quiz to the group support events on the spreadsheet, find a mod to help run the event with??

@Ggrace2003 Hey Grace, you would need to use one of the existing rooms, and check the time you wish to use it is not already being used. It may be worth checking tockify or asking @fluffyUnicorn84 to assist you with this.

So proud of 7 cups making it this far! maybe make a thread to create a few small online games for the regular visits both listener and members?
Some examples:
three word story - each person puts three words to create a story so person one "once there was" person 2: "a small elf" person 3 "who ate a" etc.
King of the hill (can be a bit violent sometimes) - you have to find ways to remove the other person off the hill.
there are lots of online games you could start for the celebration
@SupportiveSockMonkey Hey Monkey those sound really good ideas for the day, perhaps add your ideas to the spreadsheet and see if anyone wishes to do them or you could run them yourself perhaps with other communities or a community you are part of??

I know we had a story going a few months ago and about 5 of us did this. This was really fun to do so this is a great idea. Games are fun on here and sometimes they even make us think a lot like the mixed animal game we did in partners. Glad I had a partner since it took 2 of us to figure out those animals. I also wish we had more games to engages folks.

I think it would help to engage the listeners and members outside of the chat aswell making a more relaxed environment. Maybe we could start doing monthly quizes or something. I'd be willing to take the time out to write up some quizzes with different themes.

Calling all techies out there!!!!
One of the events listed on the spreadsheet going around at the moment, is a teen and adult Danceathon Video event and we are looking for anyone who has technical ability and know how in putting together video submissions, then putting them together to form one song. If you would be able to help with this event on the technical side please do PM me, thanks ever so much.
