List of October 2018 Awareness Events
Hey everyone!
It seems like there are a lot of awareness events coming up in October so I just want us all to get on the same page about who is doing what (and maybe mention some events that may not be in the works yet).

- Disability Employment Awareness Month

- Healthy Living Breast Cancer Awareness & Fall Event
- Asexuality Awareness Week: Oct 22-Oct 28
Please post in this thread and let us know if you are working on any of these events already and let's see if there are opportunities to collaborate and work together!

@Kate ive asked mel but i think im going to be doing a DJ event based around the bullying prevention month Kate so songs around the theme i chose the 21st of October for the event and will be in FR i think so ATLs can join me and is a pretty quiet room they find it a wonderful idea to do

Family Support have the '🎃 Family Pumpkin Carving Competition! 🎃 that will be running for a few weeks with the deadline being 4th November! The start date is to be decided though.

bunnypants, your thread about Halloween had a few of us in 35+ thinking last night in 1;1 conversations and we are going to be doing several fun forum threads and discussions for folks in 35+. We might be filling Kate's inbox up with discussion ideas. LOL

35+ Halloween Related Forum Threads Update: We have a "Special Spooky Story" in the creations alongside an opportunity to create a "Hilarious Halloween" through jokes, with an extra Pumpkin Carving Badge Event too.

We are also having fun Halloween trivia in the 35+ room. They enjoyed the 1st quiz and learned a lot about different things around the world.

Trying to focus on finishing planning for an ADD/ADHD event, hoping for Monday October 22 through Sunday October 28.
We still need teen and adult discussion leaders, people to write a few more forum posts, and someone to review discussions.

Hey everyone!
General Support along with other subcommunities are hosting a Mental Health Awareness Event this month, but we need your help!
We are going to have a live forum hunt in the Group Support Rooms! This will entail pasting prewrittenclues in order for participants to find the right thread in different communities. Live forum hunt is from 23rd October until 27th.
We want to host these sessions a few times to give everyone a chance to participate!
We are looking for teens and adults to help out! If you're interested in leading one of these or have any questions drop @supportivemonkey46 a PM
