@Lynerai I think I heard it depicted toxic relationships? I have not read it, I was told by someone who had, although I don't remember the details of why the relationships were toxic.

I just read 'Kiss Your Dentist Goodbye' by Ellie Phillips
I have found her suggestions to be very helpful (along with her youtube videos) and I wake up with a very clean mouth
each morning. I don't get a build- up of plaque on my teeth.
I am not going to stop seeing a dentist, but following her outlined suggestions has given me a very clean mouth and totally gotten rid
of my teeth sensitivity and my gums are a lot healthier. Cavities are a thing of the past.

Body Kindness
Currently finishing up A Hundred Years of Solitude, which I find to be entertaining, clearly thematic, and written in such a way that every word contributes to the book and creates that sense in which you've breezed 100 pages but it feels like you've only read 10.
@Athos, I read that book earlier this year for a book club. I'm glad that I read it because it's such a classic; however, I'm not sure whether this book just wasn't a good fit for me or whether I'm not much a fan of magical realism. Or maybe it would have helped if I'd known more about the time/country about which it was written. I'm not sure. Although I didn't hate it, it just wasn't a highlight of my reading this year. But one thing that I have heard about it is that people either really like it or really don't like it. ;)
@BridgetAileen I liked it simply because it explored a genre that is rarely used and also implicated it in a rather smooth fashion. And agreed, it's far more enjoyable and appreciated if the reader undertstands the way of life there during that time, but I believe it's still a good book regardless.

In the past several days, I've finished Some Luck by Jane Smiley, The Round House by Louise Erdrich, The Glass Castle by Jeannette Walls, The Readers of Broken Wheel Recommnend by Katarina Bivald, The Snow Queen by Hans Christian Anderson, and Bossypants by Tina Fey. The Glass Castle, The Snow Queen, and Bossypants were for book clubs.
I'm now reading or still reading The Snow Child by Eowyn Ivey and One Brave Thing by K.M. Creamer. Both of these are for book clubs. I will also still need to read Peace Like a River by Leif Enger for a book club this month. We'll see how many more books I can get read by the end of the year. ;)
