What was the first ever book you read like legit read-read yourself? If you remember?😮

OR

I can‘t really tell what my first book was. I started reading more and more around four, so it definitively was a children‘s book. But the first book that I remember reading for a longer time, and the one that has stuck with me ever since, was Harry Potter. I got it when I was around 8, at Christmas. I remember how I wasn‘t really happy at first, because I thought I would be too young for it, and tbh, I was scared that it would be too brutal. But it wasn’t. It took some time for me to start reading it, but I loved it. (Btw, it was the illustrated version, with art done by Jim Kay, and the pictures were SO good, if anyone knows it, you know what I mean. If not, look it up, it will be worth it). And from my perspective now, it was a magical moment that I will treasure in my heart for a long time. Thank you for making me remember it!

@Optimisticempath

From what I remember, first ever book that I ever read was a comic book. It was based on Hindu Mythology and it was the best thing ever for a 10 year old me! I started exploring more books and I came across a Marvel Spider Man comic book, and it was nothing short of euphoria to me. I continued reading books from then on and haven’t stopped since :)

I actually really like to read and I think my first book was, "James and the giant Peach". But that was many years ago.
