41 yrs old, and my partner is pulling the rug out from us and our family. I feel devestated right now and not sure what the next step is. I feel i have been manipulated for a lot of years as we are both finally in a good place and then peace out.

I am a ckuntable for my mistakes (never cheatex or anything), shr has been medicated for Adhd undiagnosed with Dextramphetamine, whicj has all of a sudden given her clarity in that she can do anything she wants and doesnt need us. I am concerned as her impulse decisions are increasingly worse on her meds, we have discussed lowering them etc but it is not something she is ready for as she feels great on them.

We have had a great week then in the evenings she crashes and moods switches to anxiety and one minutes tells us how much she loves us etc then she wants out......wtf pleaze help

@Snoogans81 Your partner's situation is very worrying. Powerful drugs like dextroamphetamine are known to be difficult to manage because of the possibility of severe highs and lows, both of which are potentially harmful.

I happen to know that alternative medications for ADHD do exist, and they might help to avoid the extremes. The rules here at 7 Cups (rule 6) mean that I am not allowed to suggest specific medications. I can only tell you that they exist, so that you can discuss other options with whoever has prescribed the dextroamphetamine.

I imagine the evenings, when she is starting to crash, might be the best times to make plans with her about what to do, with a focus on avoiding the crashes.
