Being ignored by S/O on relationship break
Hi guys, just wanted to see what other people think of this matter! So at the moment, i'm on a break with my boyfriend of nearly 3 and a half years (he was the one who decided to do this break, so this wasn't a unanimous decision). We set a rough initial break period of 2 weeks, and the 2 weeks runs out tomorrow. We said that it would be ok to contact each other, however I have been finding it super hard to no try and reach out at all the time. I haven't been talking to him everyday or tried to be clingy because I am respecting his need for space. But the last time we spoke (and it was very brief!) was last Wednedsay, and he has not said a word since. I sent him a message on Sunday that had no malice - but he read it ONE MINUTE after I sent it, ignored it and hasn't replied since!! It wasn't a message that I necessarily wanted a reply from, but it's the fact that it was seen and ignored that hurts.
I feel like I shouldn't be the one reaching out since he is the one who made the decison to go on this break. A lot of his reasoning was to do with him needing space (we'd been spending a lot of time around each other and were both dealing with stressful exam situations) and not being sure on his feelings towards me anymore.
To make matters worse, I also have moderate anxiety, so my brain has been enjoying conjuring up thoughts as to why he has been ignoring me. I've seen a lot of things online saying that if your boyfriend is ignoring you, it's probably because he is seeing someone else, but being the person who has known and loved him for nearly 4 years, he is not the kind of person that i'd ever imagine to do that at all. But my brain is still making me think it is a possibility.
Basically, I would like some opinions! I don't necessarily want answers as to how to solve the issue, because that is something we both need to discuss when we eventually see each other. But some voices of reasoning to calm my mind would be helpful :)

Hey there, hopefully you are doing well. There's a few things I would like to point out;
Hi guys, just wanted to see what other people think of this matter! So at the moment, i'm on a break with my boyfriend of nearly 3 and a half years (he was the one who decided to do this break, so this wasn't a unanimous decision). (This tells me he is feeling smothered and the closeness is making feel uncomfortable) We set a rough initial break period of 2 weeks, and the 2 weeks runs out tomorrow. We said that it would be ok to contact each other, however I have been finding it super hard to no try and reach out at all the time. (I believe this has to do with anxiety and fear of abandonment. The word space and distance causes you to feel high anxiety, enter emotional meltdown and get constant thoughts of losing him) I haven't been talking to him everyday or tried to be clingy because I am respecting his need for space. But the last time we spoke (and it was very brief!) was last Wednedsay, and he has not said a word since. I sent him a message on Sunday that had no malice - (This was done to soothe your own anxiety) but he read it ONE MINUTE after I sent it, ignored it and hasn't replied since!! (It's not nice of him to do this...) It wasn't a message that I necessarily wanted a reply from, but it's the fact that it was seen and ignored that hurts.(The message was sent in a way to connect with him again, it came with an attachment and it made you feel hurt when he ignore it because it made you feel like your existance was ignored)
I feel like I shouldn't be the one reaching out since he is the one who made the decison to go on this break. (True, he should be the one to reach out) A lot of his reasoning was to do with him needing space (we'd been spending a lot of time around each other and were both dealing with stressful exam situations) (The real reason is because he feels smothered and the closeness is making him feel uncomfortable, so he wants space to feel safe) and not being sure on his feelings towards me anymore.
To make matters worse, I also have moderate anxiety, so my brain has been enjoying conjuring up thoughts as to why he has been ignoring me. (This is hypervigilence, looking for every detail as to why he is ignoring you or abandoning you) I've seen a lot of things online saying that if your boyfriend is ignoring you, it's probably because he is seeing someone else, (Most of the things in internet about relationship is not true, theres only a few sources and people who know about relationships) but being the person who has known and loved him for nearly 4 years, he is not the kind of person that i'd ever imagine to do that at all. But my brain is still making me think it is a possibility.
Basically, I would like some opinions! I don't necessarily want answers as to how to solve the issue, because that is something we both need to discuss when we eventually see each other. But some voices of reasoning to calm my mind would be helpful :)
@plumZebra2908 I'm going through something similar instead my relationship has been for 6 years and I suspect he is cheating his behavior has changed drastically. He keeps denying it but I feel in my gut that something is wrong. I call him more than he calls me, our conversations are short, he doesn't come around as much as he use to and it hurts badly. I was married for 12 years to man that deceived me from the beginning and promised my self I would not go through that again. Low and behold I'm going through it again but now it is much worse. He is playing me like a fiddle and I hate it. I didn't ask for this type of emotional pain at all.
I feel like I have been used and taken advantage of
I have been involved with this man for 6 years. He swept me off my feet in the beginning. I thought he was too good to be true. Looks like I was right. After 6 years of being in a relationship with this man and giving him every opportunity to come clean if there has been any discretion. He continues to lie to me. He will not admit what he is doing. I suspect he has been lying for a very long time even before me. I fell hard for this man and I asked him repeatedly if he was interested in someone else he keeps saying no but I feel the need to not listen to him and guard my heart. What do I need to do? I have been through so much. Its not fair that I'm going through this. I've been crying almost every night. The worst feeling is loving someone that doesn't love you back. He told me he didn't love me but he cares. I can accept that but I feel as though he is deceiving me with his lies. I need some guidance on this situation.
Please Help!
