How do I seriously move on
I had no choice but to break up with him while i still love him because he has been thinking very ill of me and my parents till disrespect was there and he does not want to improve. I know it is toxic but i still can't get him out of my heart and head and i feel my depression is coming back

You've passed the hardest part of the decision-making process, you've determined that it's toxic and time to leave him behind. Most people get stuck well before this and cannot either admit the truth or are stuck trying to make the determination that you've come to, so be proud that you're into another phase of this process.
What does your new revelation mean? This means you believe that taking care of yourself, supporting your family, and ensuring your emotional health is far more important than catering to whatever he needs, is doing, or going to do. You need something else, someone else, and a better path in your life which is FREE of toxic people.
So how do you get rid of toxic people?
Opportunity Cost - To move on, you must cut ties entirely. Not even a text message. No communication, no matter what he does or says. He may attempt to invoke responses by doing certain things to get your attention. To let him go means, breaking free entirely, not a little bit, but entirely and completely.
In the future, you'll be more selective in your partner selection to ensure that you do not pair with men who are toxic or harmful. Once you're free of this relationship, cleanse yourself by finding a hobby, hanging out with family and friends, and focusing on what is GREAT about your life, and put together things that help you move forward instead of dwelling on what you do not have.
There is no need to feel guilty. Give yourself permission to move forward and let go of people in your life that are toxic. Toxicity acts like an infection, and can easily infect everything in your life. Move quickly to cut ties with people who aim to do you harm, emotionally or mentally.
Good Luck.
This response was not to a post written by me, but I just read it and it RESONATED with me and applies to my situation as well….so thank you to whom ever wrote it 🙏🏻🌹
Time and distance work wonders. You may also want to read books about separating from toxic people (eg. Why Does He Do That?). But the good news is, you're already out of the woods! The best thing you can do for yourself is pay attention to what makes you feel happy and safe, and stay open and curious so you'll be ready for whatever/whoever's next :)
It’s so hard because even though he was toxic, he was familiar and without him, the future seems so uncertain! I know the feeling because I wasn’t in the healthiest relationship either but somehow the breakup feels just as bad. Something my therapist told me is that we need to go through the grief and pain in order to heal and learn the lessons. So be patient with the process and yourself. Sending you lots of positive vibes ✨
I have been reminding myself that the love I feel for him is still there and I can send it to him and wish him well. While still focusing on me. I agree with the cut contact. 100% keep taking one step at a time.
