I am still angry at him after breakup

I ended things with my long term partner after coming to terms with just how much the relationship was lacking for me. I accepted so many things because I love him and that's how he is. But I ended up losing my sense of self and feeling unworthy of things that I used to consider normal and expected from a partner.

Sadly we still need to live together as I look for a new place to live. I find myself being angry at him and scolding him for the past. So now I walk around like a shell of a person and still holding on to the past.

How can I stop these repetitive thoughts? Any tips on how to stop reliving the past?

I am worried that these communication patterns are deeply rooted in me due to my childhood trauma and I bring to all my relationships.

Thanks to everyone who read my ramblings.

@Linuen

I hear you and the First part mirrors my own experience ........ i have not left we are civil roommates and i am building me again .....

communication while bad or good parts are learned they can be changed ........ if you are moving on let the past go....... it is very important IMO for anyone's happiness.....

My question in my world is why ... why little things he did still get under my skin.... i know it is over i when i try to think about if have no feelings for him so why does that past bother me..... i do not think there is closure so i just tell myself to ignore it
