I love my boyfriend but he is making it so hard for me

My boyfriend is so dramatic , over protective , jealous from probably everything , he changes every situation into a useless shallow conversation like asking about boys , talking about how I dress , being mad that I didn’t reply fast . When I tell him his flaws he keeps whining about “always being wrong” , why I always just see his flaws , why everybody doesn’t appreciate what he does . Sometimes he keeps screaming and shouting madly that I start crying and not knowing what to say to calm him down . I feel like he just gives me negative energy all the time he doesn’t enjoy the moment he must find something bad to ruin the whole thing . I am a person who likes positivity and always willing to be better and not to make problems but being with him is making it so difficult. But despite all of that I really deeply love him and I gave him a lot of chances and I want to give him more because he has other good things too . I’m wondering shall I step back and stop this relation or shall I keep trying ? By the way after every fight he keeps saying that he’s sorry and that he knows he’s wrong and I’ll try to change i love you don’t leave me and stuff like that ..

Hello, I'm glad that you posted this, that means you want help about it, and reaching out for help is always a good step, I also think that you should take some time for yourself, for the whole story, i think that he is kind of taking you for granted, because he says he will try to change..not that he will actually change, facts are more important than words, i know some things are easier to be said than done but still give him the gift of missing you, so he can see what is his life without you so he can probably (?) Start to change , i say probably, because every change starts for ourselves, and he has to have the will to change for himself to be a better partner for you. As for you, keep improving and do other positive stuff for yourself , do the things you like most and surround yourself with people you love so you can get better after all of this

@Gabilu,

to me, your boyfriend seems like someone you is insecure and/or has low self esteem. He might be trying to "balance" the relationship by dragging you down. He needs to grow up, and doesn't seem ready for what you have to offer.
