I need a Hug/I've lost my best friend
Long story short, my best friend and I will never be able to repair our relationship. We dated for a while and he said he wasn't ready for a relationship. He recently said it again after a few months but then started seeing this girl casually a few days later and two weeks later was in love with her. She left her boyfriend to try and make a long distance relationship work with him. We all work on cruise ships. She is coming to my ship in a few weeks. He knew and I had to find out from someone else. I'm really stressing out about having to work with her. I don't want to meet her or see her. I'm nauseous and have a head ache. I want to cry. I will be anxious for the next few weeks till she gets here. I just want to be done with this and now I have to work with her....and she knows who I am so it will be awkward for both of us...but no one else knows they are dating yet because she just broke up with her ex like two days ago...

@Claire91 thank you. I'm going through so many emotions. Right now I am feeling numb and I want to just sleep.

I'm sorry you're feeling so many emotions right now. That sounds very overwhelming. I hope that some sleep helps, and please know that if you need to talk 1-1 with a listener you can browse listeners here: https://www.7cups.com/BrowseListeners/

No one should have to go through such a turbulant time. This emotional turmoil isn't going to do you any good, and its unfortunate that you don't have sufficient support. *Hugs* But darling I promise you that we are here for you and we'll do our very best to get you through. Your ex did not handle the situation delicately, respectfully or with grace. Instead he fumbled his way through, and failed to communicate with you. You shouldn't be placed in such a situation, especially when he fails to provide you with an explanation. This most likely is a difficult time for that girl's now ex boyfriend, and an awkward situation for her. But please do not drop down to a pathetic low in which you hold grudges or fail to act civilly - be the bigger person. Show him what he missed out on. You can be the mature, kind, trust worthy, honest, dependable girl that he couldn't have. Don't let yourself be jealous of either of them, make them either want you, or want to be you. That's the best thing you could do - kill them with kindness.
@MidniteAngel thank you for your kind words. I don't want to be immature at all. In have done that in the past and I'm too old for that now. And I also still love him and don't want to vindictively hurt him...he already hurts enough for making this choice and ruining what we had. I'm also sure this relationship will not last and he will feel like a failure again.,,I wanted to help him and love him, but he likes the drama,,,
