Should I wait for her if it’s too hard for me to move on?
Ex girlfriend dumped me over text 3 weeks ago because she’s unhappy and her mental health is unstable. She tells me she only sees black and white and that she only sees the negatives of our relationship. I’m hurt because it feels like this a completely different person and it’s not easy at all for me to move on. She told me she’s dealt with depression all her life, recently told me of her dissociation, and after getting professional help recently she’s discovering that she has commitment issues. She says she’s unhappy regardless of relationship status and is emotionally unavailable. I love her very much and want to be there for her but I’m hurt because this was so sudden and I don’t know what to do. I’ve given her space, Im thinking about no longer being active on social media like she is but I’m having trouble seeing myself move on anytime soon.
We’ve been together for 4 years; we had a breakup 2 years ago but we were so much better ever since. We both recently had trouble spending time together because of work and hobbies and she’s noticed that she does not do well when she’s not with me/alone, and started to spiral downward after a few rather small arguments. We’re still young in early 20s, we both still care for each other.
@limeBranch3599- Sorry to hear about your situation. But it does sound like she is being truthful about her inability to be committed to your relationship. Take that information as your ticket to move on and find someone who does want to be fully available. You deserve it.
@limeBranch3599 i would move on why wait around half the time they don't really come back
