The Pain is Unbearable
My boyfriend, who I lived with told me on Friday that he has fallen out of love with me. We had planned our future, things seemed so good- then over the past few months things seemed off. Friday he said he just couldn;t do it anymore, hes tried every day for 4 months to try to be IN love with me again like he used to be, but he just couldnt. He cried. I cried. then I left
I am beyond heartbroken...the pain is unbearable. I could barely get out of bed over the weekend- unfortunately I have to be at work this week (I am sitting at my desk as I type)
I miss him so so so much. I keep hoping he will tell me that it was all a mistake. I have had breakups before, but none of them have ever beent his painful. I cant imagine ever feeling normal or happy again
I am afraid I am going to die alone, or settle for 'second best' because he truly was the kindest patient more caring man I have ever known.
I just can't do it :(
Hey Pixie.
I know it hurts a lot to have someone fall 'out' of love with you. I really do. I know it makes you feel like the walls are going to collapse and your lungs are going to give up, but in the end, none of that happens. You go through all of it and still stand straight because you can. It's better to be with someone who is in love with you rather than someone who is not.
I am sorry this happened to you, but this is not the end. Things will get better. Trust me.
@FadingStarDust Thank you. Yes it feels like I cant breathe. I cant stop thinking about him...about our first date...about things we have done over thr course of our relationship. the way he says things, the way he would hold me or kiss me. Its killing me. I cant seem to turn my nrain off. When I try to distract myself thoughts of him still manage to float in. its absolute torture
@Pixie13
I know how it is. It's like everyhting you read or look at connects you to a memory. It's okay. If you fight the memory it will hurt, but if you live it; with time it won't bother you so much. Don't fight the pain because pain always demands to be felt.
@Pixie13 - Hi. I can almost feel your pain through reading what you wrote. I have been there. I have been in bed and unwilling to move - to even feed myself. I understand the feeling. I hope you will be gentle with yourself. All you need to do right now is keep breathing and make it through the day. That's it. Just make it through this day. And breath. Don't worry about any more than that. You'll start to notice that the pain comes in waves - it's not constant. Acknowledge it. Know it's there. But, let it wash. It won't stay permanently. It won't even stay long; but, it does feel like it when you're in it. I understand. For today, it's ok if you simply make it through. It's going to be ok and you are not going to feel like this forever.
@helpfulNest9115 Thank you..your words have given me a tiny sense of hope..I really aprpeciate it. I can't wait to feel normal again...this pain is unbearable.
So ive been married for almost 6 years and have an amazing 5 year old.
It all started when for a year i lied about working cause i couldnt find anything. I didnt tell her cause i was trying to ease her stress and just try my hardest to make her happy. But she knew the whole time what was happening. So then she goes to a gym and works she is gone all the time she said she has no feelings for me anymore except the love for the simple fact i am our sons father. So she is gone to work overnights days and hardly home. So me and the kid are stuck in the house for days i think the last month its only been 3 times leaving the house. She wont change her work so i can get a job. Im allowed to give her a hug but thats it. I keep trying on things but there is not much i can do. Im lonely lost try not to cry and everyday is the same i dont know what todo she wont do counseling and talking is just about her work.
@Pixie13
Hey there, hopefully you are doing well. Theres a few things I would like to point out;
My boyfriend, who I lived with told me on Friday that he has fallen out of love with me. (This is probably one of the worst thing to hear and know when it comes to relationships, someone falling out of love will cause the other person to feel a lot of hurt). We had planned our future, things seemed so good- then over the past few months things seemed off. (After a breakup, we begin to think of the planned future, hard to see what went wrong, and it adds more to the hurt and pain). Friday he said he just couldn;t do it anymore, hes tried every day for 4 months to try to be IN love with me again like he used to be, but he just couldnt. (If a relationship has ran its course or one side falling out of love then its best to end the relationship, however he should have had this talk four months ago, not now. He thoughts that it would work out if he tried hard enough, thats actually like forcing himself, and love doesn't work that way. You just didn't deserve how he was not honest the minute he felt this way). He cried. I cried. then I left
I am beyond heartbroken...the pain is unbearable. I could barely get out of bed over the weekend- unfortunately I have to be at work this week (I am sitting at my desk as I type). (Everyone will go through this after a breakup, you are going through tons of separation anxiety. Separation anxiety will cause you all sort of things. I do encourage you to check out Craig Kenneth channel throughout this breakup, it'll help a lot).
I miss him so so so much. I keep hoping he will tell me that it was all a mistake. I have had breakups before, but none of them have ever beent his painful. I cant imagine ever feeling normal or happy again. (At first it'll feel this way, you'll get thoughts like "I'll never get over this", "Ill never be happy again", "This is the most difficult things ever", and other things, its not easy going through a breakup, but the fact you came here shows the willingness to slowly feeling better bit by bit)
I am afraid I am going to die alone, or settle for 'second best' because he truly was the kindest patient more caring man I have ever known. (The separation anxiety will make you feel this way, you'll go through tons of emotions, but I promise you one day you'll feel better about this, its a slow process, but you will get there)
I just can't do it :(
I am thinking of you, Pixie. I'm sending warm, healing wishes and I am hoping that your day is just a little bit better.
@helpfulNest9115 Thank you. Yesterday was almost ok. Today it is a little worse. I feel like I've been stabbed in the chest, I just miss him SO much. We had so many plans for the rest of the summer...we had plans for tonight. We had plans for this Saturday. Next Friday we were supposed to fly out to visit his family for a week. I just can't believe he is gone from my life forever. I know it may sound stupid, but I checked his facebook relationship status just now, and it was gone...that absolutely killed me (even though I deleted mine days ago) It just solidifes the fact that he isn;t going to change his mind. He is gone from my life forever.
Now I have to worry about hearing from him regarding the lease on our apartment. Then I have to endure moving my things out of the place we once shared.
@Pixie13
Hey there
I'm so sorry you have to go through such experience, and I'm sure he doesn't want to see you cry too. It takes a lot of courage for him to tell you what he was feeling, and you should value his honesty although it breaks your heart :( I'm sure he was very confused as to why he's fallen out of love with you but he has tried everything and it just didn't work. Sometimes when a relationship lasts a long time, partners begin to wonder as to what they really want, because the other one seems like someone who will always be there.
Give you both a break to think about what you guys really want, then decide whether it is the best to end this relationship. Don't hesitate to tell him your feelings about him, but at the same time, we don't want to force him to stay in a relationship that he no longer has feeling for right :)
