It's really easy sometimes to remember the good things and forget about the bad. Its also really hard to be lonely. You just have to remind yourself why it was toxic, and why you're better off without him. You clearly know that going back isn't a good option. Keep being strong, it'll get better. :)

I’m in the same boat, it’s so hard when you miss someone and you just want to be with them no matter what, even if the relationship was unhealthy. Just try to remember the negatives of the relationship. For instance was there another girl in the picture? One of the things I do sometimes is look up the other girl on social media to remind me how much he hurt me and that he sucks lol.

I totally understand. Even if you know it was toxic, it is still your sense of normalcy and your comfort. Stay busy. Find someone else to talk to or spend time with while you adjust. I’m preaching to the choir because I’m going through the same thing!

Mine ended yesterday, he’s moved all of his stuff out and on his way to Michigan as we speak. Was with him for 6 years, he proposed this past November, can’t seem to take the ring off. Pretty sure it was toxic from the get-go but I had been single for almost 6 years before getting with him.

I know you probably feel like your world is crashing down without him right now, but trust me, those feelings will not last forever. Allow yourself to feel whatever you're feeling right now. Cry, scream, punch a pillow, do whatever, but let it all out. And allow yourself to be a mess unapologetically. But don't reach out to him. You have a duty to yourself right now, not him. You were a complete, whole person before you met him, and you will be a complete, whole person after him. 🌸 After a while, you will start to realize that you CAN survive without him, that you don't feel as drained anymore, that you don't feel as anxious. That you can enjoy things again. That you can be healthy again. That you don't have to have someone weighing you down anymore. It can be lonely, yes. But you will always have your own company. You will always have a friend by your side - that friend being yourself. So be kind to her, and show her love. Take care of her, just as you would any other friend. It'll be slow, and it'll take time. But the love will come. And when it does, you will be free. Hang in there, girl. Trust me... I've been there.
