When You're Missing Someone.
We've all been there before, I think. You wish that one person was here with you, and you just can't stop wanting one thing that money can't buy- them. Or to go back in time. Desperately reliving memories. Your mind, screaming, "it's hopeless, they won't return" and your heart, in a soft whisper, hoping. believing hurts. Clinging onto the hope that your loved one will return, that hurts. wanting to turn back time hurts in epic proportions, and healing from that is probably the hardest thing ever. At least, it's felt that way for me. and when I feel this way, the sinking feeling of missing someone seems never ending. Be it a breakup, divorce, anything. It's just so tough.
I've been there. It's taken me a few years once to make it to recovery, but I did. And it seemed so impossible at the time, to recover. to not want the person that was always on my mind, constantly. To make it past that, and to see that I could do it, what I previously thought I couldn't, has me star struck. Now, that sinking feeling is back, but I know i can do this, and you can too ♥
But you can make it through. This thread is for anyone who is going through the "I miss you so much it hurts" phase. Hopefully we can all come together and share how we cope, and bond as a community. ♥
you are strong. you can, and will, get through this pain you thought would last forever. If we can all share and get through this together, that'd be awesome! ♥ (and personally, music has helped me cope with missing someone) ♥
♥ wishing you all the best, lovely stranger reading this! ♥
I'm there right now... everyday is so hard.
I am in this situation and I hate this feeling. It's so hard to deal with.
It's hard and it hurts 💔 but I'm just glad I'm not in denial and I'm not where I used to be.💪...
I am there now as well. Separating from my wife has been the hardest thing I have ever done in my life. I miss her so, so very much. The pain is crippling
I still miss her even a few months later, even though she told me she's met someone new. As nice as it is not being in limbo, knowing I should move on, it still sucks at times. I thought she was the one, we clicked on so many levels, but I try to remind myself we broke up for a reason, and we definitely had a few reasons. I miss her at times, wish I was the guy she's with but I can feel myself getting better every day. It's a slow process but something I need to go through. Hopefully true happiness is right round the corner
I miss my girlfriend of 3 years so much. I didn't think being 17-20 years old we shared memories that would last a lifetime and now I'm stuck alone...
Was with my ex-girlfriend for almost 4 years before she broke up with me. A year and some change later, and it still sends a knife through my heart calling her my ex. She still lives with me. And I can't see myself getting over her anytime soon. I relive our memories every day and just constantly wonder where we went wrong and why we can't fix it... But it's not because I don't want to...it's because she doesn't. And I have to respect that. Sometimes things happen beyond your control and as per another person's desire. And though we can't understand why, for our own piece of mine we must accept it and continue to roll with the punches of life until it becomes easier. Hang in there, you're not alone.
I have to admit im still at this phase for over a year now. I broke up with my girlfriend of 7.5 years over a year ago and I still miss her, everyday. I alienated myself to almost everyone i know thinking that I can focus and repent for the mistakes i've done. You see, i did mean to hurt her and be the cause of our relationship to end. I keep beating myself everytime for that to a point that its affecting my life. Anyway, i've always understand that its a process. Im glad that i've discovered this community. Its gives me that warm feeling that i am in a group of people that understands what im going through as go with my road to recovery.
Currently here.
My situation is very complicated.
My now forever ex and I have been split since shortly after our sons birth. We split mutually at first because we hated each other but didnt take long to realize that we both made a mistake. Just when one realized it was a mistake the other was still mad and hurt. Her being the first to want us back, I pushed and pushed, i was nothing short of the worst person possible to her. So she finally moved on and fuck my life if I didnt just click in that I'm still madly in live with her. Shes got a new man though. Knowing full on that i don't deserve another chance i spill my heart to her, i lay it all out like ive never done in my entire life. She said thats what shes been waiting for since we split, but i did it too late. She chose him.
Now im stuck here with this hole in my chest that i dug out myself but i cant get over her. I want to rin my fingers through her hair and kiss her passionately, i want so bad to hear her say my name again, to sigh it in my ear while being intimate or even just to ask what I'd like with dinner. I miss just bein in her presence.
Fuck did I do....
I badly miss my 3 kids. Empty-nest syndrome combined with disability- mental & physical. In their 20s, they don't call or even answer email/text. And I was and am a great mom. My psych doc of 10 yrs is supporting current plan of me not reaching out to them. Cause when I do, I get more & more depressed awaiting a response that never comes. But I still think of them constantly. It's awesomely lonely. And now I only live for my service dog. I put away all reminders of them. Just send them bday & Xmas checks. I know they are into their own lives. But not even an email on Xmas? Not even a call on my bday? They have no way of knowing if I am alive. No one does. Maybe they want their inheritance instead of me. I cry alot.
