A week ago me and my boyfriend broke up. My world has been shattered ever since. I can't see myself living without him. He was my best friend, my soulmate, my everything, he was home to me. In August he lost feelings for me, I kept trying to fight for the relationship, I kept fighting for him, I didn't wanna lose him. He didn't have the energy to care about the relationship, I was so sick of feeling unloved and of fighting alone. We're both coping really bad rightnow. I've been having mental breakdowns constantly no matter where I am. At the dentist, on the train, at uni lectures. I have been trying so hard to feel better but nothing is helping, I hate this feeling so much. Especially "You deserve better, he wasn't the right one" "there are so many cool guys out there" make me feel worse. It's not that easy. I cannot be productive. My laundry from 2 weeks ago is still laying in my room, I haven't washed my hair in over a week, I still have to clean dishes from a week ago. Life sucks so much rightnow. It was so easy to lose him. I don't know what to do. Someone give me hope.

It sounds like you are having a bad time of this..... and most people an relate in some way...

it is exhausting and takes a real mental toll of someone when they fight to keep a relationship going or fix it..... Sad to say but i NOW believe some just come to an end. I know you probably have no energy but i would force myself to get up / clean up/ do some laundry etc.........

Life does not stop and letting things go farther only makes your tasks larger and larger ........if you start over and move on -he might if still around see you differently..... i decided i was no longer fighting for my relationship as he did not put in effort once he saw i was not pining for him and going on willing to move on he was interested again now i simply do not want him back but i let myself enjoy the attention he had not been giving as our long term thing died......

Hi,

Detachment is difficult, when you love someone so much and suddenly that person is no longer in your life due to various reasons ( may be they have lost interest/ Not working out for them/ relationship doesn't have spark anymore) before forgetting that person completely try to accept what has happened to you, don't try to avoid the pain! Take your own time to feel the pain, cry it out and the end of the day you will feel relieved.

What next!? Try to start detaching yourself from them, don't hate that person ( you also had some good time together, embrace that) go back step by step, accept the pain. If you avoid pain it will be hard to get over it.

Forgive that person even if they are not sorry!

At this stage you will be well aware of things and slowly you will get to your normal routine. Cut off the contact slowly from the social media! Delete the pictures! And stand for yourself don't look back! If someone has given up on you that person is not the right person for you... Also dont even think to be friends.

Remember! Everyone takes different time to heal.. don't be harsh to yourself, be gentle be kind, pamper yourself and things will definitely work out for you! Atleast it did to me!

Just focus on one single thing at a time. Even if you only achieve a single thing each day, you will still feel yourself moving forward.

Wash the clothes. Do the dishes. Why? Because these mechanical, tangible chores, produce visible results. They need to be done, and they don’t need to be thought about. They aren’t depressing and fixating like complex overwhelming relationship problems! So throw yourself into something simple like this and feel your mind shifting gears. Sometimes it is such a hardship to survive. Sometimes we do it one moment at a time, one day at a time. But it’s enough.
