@ASilentObserver
Someone recently told me I was a good listener.
But they said it like they were really surprised at how helpful listening was. We had a good conversation in which I was an active listener, reflecting what they were saying back to them in new ways.
At the end of the conversation they ended up realising something about themselves and they said "Wow! Thank you so much! I can't believe you were so helpful. You helped me realise something I sort of new but didn't really, just by helping me realise what I was already saying."
I guess the compliment was that I was a good listener. But really, they were identifying how great it is to be an active listener. How it reflects the truth more clearly back to the speaker. I thought how happy this person was, was a good compliment towards how effective listening can be.

Goes to show you how powerful listening can be
@LifeSpring This is fabulous. We don
I recieved "Wonderful. I can't ever say thank you enough to her, checking up on me throughout, being there for me, I genuinely can't explain how much gratitude and appreciation towards you. I am so thankful. I really am". This review actually made my day :-)
my friends always tell me that it's not my jokes what's truly funnny and makes them laugh, they say it's my laugh itself lmao
this might really superficial, but im not really that confident of who I am, then I made some new friends and they always complemented me, saying that I was really pretty, that they loved my hair and a lot more, they were just really random too, like I would just be sitting, talking to someone and a friend would just say god ur so pretty stay there im taking a picture of you. Those little comments are life changing and thanks to them i m slowly gaining confidence
Hi,
I've been told lately that I'm very brave for starting my own social group on meetup.com (no this is not an advertisement), but that my first meeting did not go very well - nobody showed up! And I had 15 members. I'm trying to meet people outside the mental health world, as friendships in that sphere never seem to work out well for me. I won't let the fact that nobody showed up bring me down though -- I'm going to keep going and maybe someday it will pick up.

This is one my favourite feedback I got on site here
After trying to talk to many listeners , I found peace in her words !! She is good with words and makes you realize life can be easy if we want !! I am thankful to cups and her !!
I've been going through relationship issues for a while now, but throughout the entire thing and talking through it with family and friends, they all say the same thing: i'm one of the most compassionate people they know. It makes me feel like no matter what happens, I won't have to beat myself up over it.
i have friends who tell me that im always making really good dad jokes.
I was recently told that someone had no expectations they liked me for me. It meant so much. Thank you my friend
