Ghosted
I have been ghosted twice in the past three months. Started to wonder whether it's me!
One moment it's great and the other, he's gone.
How to cope with that and overcome the rejection?
My last relationship was 7 years ago and ended horribly and left me terrified. Recently I opened up to the possibility but can't understand the pattern of modern dating. Which is frustrating.
Can someone help me out of this limbo?
@FallenG Hey look unfortnautely Ghosting is part of the dating world why I do not know, had it happen to me about a month ago he stopped responding to my whats app messages we met on bumble we seemed to have great chemestry but just stopped speaking to me but I got over it he is blocked now i am sure your not doing anything wrong it just happens sadly but you move on and find someone who won't watse your time like that.

Thanks for sharing your experience, it is heartwarming that I'm not alone in this. I don't usually let emotions take over me but it happens sometimes...
@FallenG your welcome hope your doing okay
@FallenG
Hey there, hopefully you are doing well. There's a few things I would like to point out;
I have been ghosted twice in the past three months. Started to wonder whether it's me! (I can understand how difficult this can be, but they are times where the chemistry isn't there, not over an ex, not ready to date and other things that might be going on internally with them)
One moment it's great and the other, he's gone. (This might be a difficult one because i don't know what was in the conversation. I have noticed how over-sharing of one past, eagerness, projection of unmet needs, and anxiety can lead to do this. If you can, check if those things happened in the conversations)
How to cope with that and overcome the rejection? (It's normal to wonder what happened, but in dating this quite common. The ghosting makes you feel as if you are the problem, however they are things going on internally with them that has nothing to do with you)
My last relationship was 7 years ago and ended horribly and left me terrified. (This is a sign you have not healed from what happened, so often this will make you build walls around yourself to not get hurt) Recently I opened up to the possibility but can't understand the pattern of modern dating. Which is frustrating. (Think about it this way, if they ghosted you then its a sign they can't be a good candidate for you. You can also use this to rule out people who might end up not being good for you)

I truly appreciate your insight and admit that you are correct. I have decided to take a step back to understand my outlook on the dating expectations.
As I mentioned it has been years since I opened up to someone and I feel so fragile and try to hide this insecurity by showing a not caring approach towards the person where deep inside I invest on it unintentionally. Then once he disappears, I'm left with all the unexpressed feelings. This happened on the first incident.
The next one, I kept him at a distance and tried to play it by the book. But eventually he ghosted me as well.
So, I will take my time to be in my bubble. The depressed and disconnected me was safe before this.
@FallenG i guess those who ghost just don't have the right way of ending a relationship, and it sucks. i've been ghosted many times and tried pursuing the relationship and ended up looking like a desperate person. but know that once you meet the right person, everything will fall into place. the right person will make you feel at peace and he'll make you forget your fear of being in a relationship. it's gonna take some time, and as of now, focus on self-development instead of thinking when he would come about!

I'm grateful for your message and helping me understand that it shouldn't always be this way.
@FallenG you're too kind with your words, thank you for being so polite! all the best in moving on, you can do this! <3 otherwise, we're all here for you when you want to talk about it :-)
@haphapz
I truly appreciate all the feedbacks and helps me through this hard times... Dealing with pain and self doubt is easier when I read your encouraging replies to stay strong.
@FallenG that's the best thing to hear!
@FallenG
Im sorry this happened to you. I know how it feels. Im not sure if the other person ended it, would make things better. I mean well still feel the same thing. Sometimes ghosting seems a better option than communication. It makes it less guilty than to actually explain why they dont wish to proceed. Its definitely not your fault. This is simply an easy road they took. Guys always find a way to get to you if they are into you. Dont be sad. Beautiful things are yet to come.
@LadyInSilence
Your words are what I always tell anyone who goes through a break up... it surprised me that I haven't followed what I keep on telling others!
Thank you for reminding me that!
@FallenG
Sometimes we need a stranger to remind us :)
U welcome

@AbbyHarris1976
Thanks for your kind words, actually he contacted me today and I responded as a friend with a neutral approach. I mean he can't just appear to continue where it was left off... I don't want to overthink it since it can happen again. So I'll just let it be and not going to put any effort on it.
@FallenG
You
@FallenG that mustn't have been the easiest thing to do but we're all so proud of you! <3
