@ASilentObserver

I am new to the relationship community. I am having trouble communicating, making friends, and feeling satisfied with life in general during these couple years dealing with PTSD, grief, and trauma. I need to improve on relationships or I will be lonely, alone, and unhappy, which is something that isn't very positive. So maybe I can improve on relationships by being a part of this community and learn those skills for better relationships.

Hi Folks,

I'm 59M, married with three kids. We've been married for 30 years. For many years, every year my wife and I seem be become less close. It started with less intimate activity, less kissing, less hand holding, less hugging, less everything. Now she never touches me and not very responsive when I try to hug her or sit next to her. When I bring it up she blames it on menopause and says that old people don't have sex and asks if my parents still have sex. I'm not the stallion I once was but would still like to sit close to her, hug, cuddle and yes I would still like to have sex, why not, it's fun and brings couples closer together. We're both in pretty good shape, work out and our BMI isn't bad, so the physical situation shouldn't be a reason. We are busy, we both work and have a lot of activities but lots of people are busy.

Well, that's my story.

Hey.

I'm new to this Community so let me introduce myself.

My name is Astrid, I'm from France and I discovered this app this morning.

No, I don't use any translator I'm using my skills to talk in English, and I fount it easier than in French who would have thought !

I'm currently facing a divorce with my ex husband of 14 years. We do have a son together (almost 5) and that's been a hard end 2025 and beginning 2026 as my ex husband was charge and found guilty of physical abuse on our son during the first steps of the divorce.

So I have my son 100% custody but, while waiting for the Family judge to decide the custody and confirm the divorce, I need to reintroduce my ex husband into our lifes... and that's hard.

The only thing I love in me, physically speaking, are my eyes.

I'm a people pleaser, a golden retriever hidden into a human body 𤣠that means if I can be a help, I'll give my liver for a stranger... but that cost me a lot regarding my relationships.

@ASilentObserver Hello everyone,

I am 23F from Michigan. I joined this group because I knew that I needed to. I overall struggle with friendships and relationships ever since Covid happened. I have like 2 friends, but I am very distant. I would go very long periods of times without talking to my friends due to my schedule, us not having much in common now, and other things. My friends try to act like they understand why I am distant, but I often notice them getting in their feelings about it, which causes our friendships to drift and feel like strangers.  When it comes to relationships, I haven't dated anyone since high school. I had many talking stages, but it never turned into something serious due to me noticing their intentions right away.

@ASilentObserver I'm so glad to be here, I'm hoping I can find others here that can relate to what's happening in my relationship.

I'm a 43 year old woman and recently married (three months) to my husband, who’s 55. I’m someone who really prefers affection and quiet, but it feels like there’s always tension at home. A lot of it stems from finances but also his possessiveness, especially when it comes to any other guys reaching out to me, along with unsaid expectations around household chores.

Even though I work full-time, pay half or more of the bills, and was completely upfront from day one that I’m not the type to cook every day, he still gets resentful if I'm not handling all the cooking and cleaning. I do cook because I like eating organic, but managing a demanding job while being expected to run the kitchen every single day is completely draining my energy. On top of that, he deals with frequent mood swings that I think might be health-related, but he refuses to see a doctor when I bring it up. On top of that I’m healing from fibroids threatening to drain me AND trying to get pregnant. Between the constant friction and his sudden shifts in mood, the environment at home is super stressful, and I’m honestly worried. Looking for recommendations on how to avoid a train wreck.
