Hi everyone! I joined the community this Monday, but I'm not sure whether I am on the right forum or not
@SmilingCamel55
Hello, welcome aboard! Yes sure, the thread to introduce yourself is this one : we are glad you joined!
Well my relationship history has really sucked so Im just trying to figure out the best way to go forward so I dont get hurt anymore
Hi 👋
Im new to this group and I joined because I have a problem with letting go of my past relationships. I tend to carry the burden/guilt/baggage of my past relationship onto my new relationship and end up ruining my new relationship. Idk how to let go of my past. I also dont know how to have a healthy relationship and thats one of the things Im looking forward to learning to do.

Hello, how are you?
So glad you are here, and I'd like to say welcome. I am ScarletPear1945. I have not been here for long. I do understand about relationships
@scarletPear1945 thank you. I hope to get to a point where I feel
@tidyPlum441
Me too even though I am married our relationship
sucks
@scarletPear1945 Hi Pear... I think that I am kinda in the same space where you are... are you just in a relationship or are you matried to this person and why would you say that it 'sucks'?
@Justneed2know
I am married to the person and have been for 45 years. It sucks because we were never allowed to date or get to know one another before we got married it was arranged by our church and they do not condone divorce. So we reside in the same home but almost as mutual friends. No intimacy or personal connection. We have lived this way so long that I tolerate my circumstances
@scarletPear1945 thank you. I hope to get to a point where I feel
@tidyPlum441
I have a similar problem. I struggle to let go of the scars left from my past relationship. I felt I was left so damaged by the last relationship that I am overly cautious now and I am afraid I may self-sabotage my current relationship. I am in a relationship now, a good healthy relationship and I am afraid and anxious at every step. Part of me wants to be alone again, be single and get rid of all this anxiety and the other part of me is happy and thrilled to be with this wonderful man I deeply care for. I'm so terrified of making the same mistakes.
@alaskabunny
Hey bunny,
It 's good that you are happy in the present relationship but it seems your fear is not letting you enjoy relationship completely..
Hey everyone. Today only I have joined this. Hope you all are good
Hi, I
Hi guys ☺️
I'm new to this app, for some times I've been struggling about my current relationship. Hopefully this would help me and maybe I can help you as well!
Cheers 💋
@tealStrings0410 welcome .. and always there for you
Hello everyone. I joined because Im experiencing a Catch-22 situation where my therapist is asking me to experience, rationalize, and calm my emotions, as well as confide in my friends and significant other when things are too much. This has been working well for me. Unfortunately, my friends and my significant other have expressed that seeing me experiencing negative emotions is greatly affecting their own lives and stress levels in a hugely negative way! After my emergency contact for confidential support during emotional crises sent my messages directly to my SO (who finds my own emotional distress to be incredibly upsetting) Ive received an ultimatum now about remaining optimistic and not being outwardly stressed or losing their affection. After that particular event Id prefer to still share how I feel but with people who dont know me or my friends while I figure out how to remain calm and confident in front of my loved ones, so here I am!
@emotionalCucumber179 It's awful when you get into what I think of as a "Stress cycle" (you're stressed, which stresses them, which stresses you more) It's really tempting to just close up on it, but in my experience you have to point out that you're there for them when they're having problems and you'd like the same support from them.
Hi, I
