essentially i tend to look at how they treat others, especially family members they don't like. If they have a patent that's not all that nice but they're still making them meals and saying they love them, that woos my heart at the thought of them having compassion to take care of me when I'm grouchy and not feeling well.

how they treat animals is also big for me. I've known several people where things like killing killing snails or treating pets bad was the first sign i had that they were mean people, so keeping pets taken care of well and taking care of mishaps like barf or an accident on the floor in a kind way is huge
