One thing my parents taught me is....
My Mother (because my father left) taught me that depression does not have to come from being outside of your home. It can come from the inside as well. Just look at me, my life is such a mess. Its so bad that my only friends are prescription pills or just plain SUICIDE. I spent most of my life attempting suicide, I don't know what I haven't tried. I've tried hanging myself, pill overdose, slitting my throat, and drinking bleach. (heck i'm considering children medicated gummies or throwing myself in front of a car next), and everytime I wake up I can't help but cry because its yet another attempt I have failed. Wait thats not even the best part, do you wanna know what she doe's evertime I wake up from another attempt? Or when I tell her I wanna admit myself into a hospital and/or see a councellor. She tells me society wont help. they'll only make things worse. So I don't know what to do anymore, I'm gonna give up soon.
Never to judge food or people based on appearances or first impressions.
My mom- you never let anyone disrespect you
Nothing is ever handed to you in this life. You have to work for everything that you want. You get back what you put in.
Positive: Never expect anything, work for it instead, The world owes you nothing but you owe everything to the world
Negative: I cant go to her for help because she thinks mental health is a joke

@Laura This is a secret to getting along with people that has helped me that my parents taught me: "If you cannot say anything positive do not say anything at all." That has kept me from many difficult situations more than once.
