What is the most essential component of a RELATIONSHIP?
Please feel free to drop your answers, but I request you to put in a word or few words.
In due time I would also contribute my views and let you guys know what I feel it is.
Awaiting you VIEWS!!!

I think that the most essential component is honesty. Honesty blankets over open communication and trust.
Its hard to say what the most essential component is. If I have to single one out, though, it has to be respect. I feel as though if you respect your partner, you won't be dishonest or untrustworthy. Communication should just come natural if you respect your partner.
I dunno. Maybe I'm too young to understand - but from my perspective, if you respect your partner, everything else should fall into place.
@MarayaMUNROE I believe it is communication
Talking to each other is so important to get across your views and feelings and helps to prevent misunderstandings.
respect is a big one for me...... unless you respect your significant other, you cant communicate or understand positively to resolve issues
@MarayaMUNROE,
Open and honest communication,mutual trust and support - no doubt about it!
@MarayaMUNROE
The most essential component in my mind is communication. Whether it's a family relationship, a romantic relationship, or just friends hanging out, there doesn't seem to be much point without communication.
just like @ninetaleslove i think it is communication

This is such a great thing to think about. Knowing what you value in a relationship and what you need from a partner is so important for a healthy and happy relationship!
For me, I can definitely say that being able to healthier "tease" each other has saved my relationship with my husband time and time again. Our ability to laugh at ourselves and each other has made for a fun and cohesive relationship.
In Australia we call it "taking the piss" out of each other. A common and vital part of Australian culture lol. We do it with friends, family and significant others.
Thanks for raising this question!

Maybe that is the key @MarayaMUNROE
Whilst you shouldn't depend on your significant others for your own happiness being happy with them and in your relationships is a key factor in a good relationship!
