What's the best "Relationship Advice" someone has ever given to you?
hey lovely people!
What's the best "Relationship Advice" someone has ever given to you?

If there's ever a problem, take a different perspective because in any relationship (sibling, bf/gf, friends etc) if you're involved you will automatically have a biased view of whatever is happening. Take a deep breath and a step back to examine everything from a different point of view because it can really help.
Get out of bad relationship as soon as possible.
Just because I had two bad relationships doesn't mean that there were no good words in it. When my youngest daughter's sperm donor left me when she was 2 1/2 months old, his last words to my face were, "You deserve better." He then went down the stairs, out the door, and out of our lives.
My Mom always told me growing up, 'Don't ever let somebody else complete you'
Those words have helped me through so many struggles in my relationship.
The moment you depend on somebody else for your happiness, is the moment you lose your independence and your ability to make yourself happy.
Not only is that unfair to you, that's unfair to your significant other. That's a lot of pressure to put on another person, so the ability to make yourself happy is of extreme importance in any relationship in my opinion.

"Don't let someone dim your light simply because it's shining in their eyes."
1) they're gonna say whatever they wanna say, but love is love and don't let anyone tell you that you cant be with someone because of their or your gender. [happy pride month]
2) you are your own priority. if you need to break up because youre not ready to be in a relationship or youre unhappy for any reason, you cant let someone else tell you that you have to stay together. there is always a choice, and the choice is yours to make.
3) i cant remember but ill add to this if i do ahah
If it's always unicorns and rainbows then it's not real and it isn't going to last.
I read somewhere that relationship isnt about compromise because in compromise, both parties lose. Its about collaboration, seeing an issue and deciding how to tackle it together. Its not you against them, its the two of you against everyone else.
From my own experience, all the cliches are true. You cant love someone unless you know and love yourself first. Youll find exactly what youre looking for when youre not looking. When you know someones the one, youll know.
You are responsible for your own happiness , not your partner. 😊
Loving someone is not always easy, there will be times where you do not like that person but you love them. Tough through the rough times and hold each other
