To listen to my gut when something doesn't seem right or feels right
It's always better to err on the side of being kind. You don't regret a harsh word you don't say.
Always stay true to yourself and your independance. Remembering what attracted you to your partner in the first place, whilst remebering you had a life prior to the relationship, including other relationships ie family, friends etc.![]()
Always make sure the other person knows you appreciate him/her no matter what. Don't be selfish, think about what he wants to do/think/feel as well.
I tried going out to date again. As I was starting to like my date he started showing signs of rejecting me. And I remembered him telling me he has been broken. I remebred this place 7 cups where I learned just to listen without being judgemental. I decided to listen to him and give him time because I also know how it feels to be broken n the importance of being listened to
One thing that I learned during a relationship is not everything is as it seems. The person who seemingly did not break a sweat if we broke up actually cared a lot more than either of of knew at the time. You live and you learn. :-)
@SilentSerenityy
Don't give in too much, love myself a little more, don't get jealous too easily
A lesson learned vicariously; don't be afraid to let go on order to preserve your own sanity.
What I learned from my past relationship is that Love should never be questioned. When it genuine, it is often obvious. When it is temporary, it eventually changes and when it is lust driven Love never existed in the first place. After finding out that my ex had been married for 17 years, I decided to due the complete opposite of what my "heart" wanted and cut all ties without a single tear. Changed my phone number, email, and never even gave him a chance to explain. He waisted 4 years of my life and the idea that he will spend the rest of his regretting ever losing me was enough for me to forgive, forget and move on with my life.
One thing I always remind people is that forgiveness is for you. Why should you be forced to live with all the bad feelings while the other person is off enjoying life as if nothings ever happend. Release that negetive energy back into the universe, never hold on to it!
@Chieyka
You are so brave, wise and strong that you could get over it.
You are absolutely right, forgiving is to rest our heart from the burden of negative feelings.
My lesson was: never lose yourself to make your partner progress in his life or career, you are worthy and your dreams are just important, either he can accept that or leave.
