People with certain MH conditions may never have a a healthy or long term relationship. And that's ok, there's no shame in deciding to stay single if that's what's better for your own MH.

In a relationship, we both change, without knowing it. There is no right or wrong. We can both drift away in various manners. What counts is to understand how it happened and try to not reproduce the same over again in the next relationship.

And oh, take advantage of meeting oneself again, it can be fun :)

@ASilentObserver

I have learned that even when things get rough that you argue because you love each other and just want each other to grow into better humans together so just because you might disagree or argue on a regular basis doesnt necessarily mean you dont love each other or that you should split up

I also learned that when you have a partner that suffers from a mental illness or stressed a lot they wont always be able to put energy into the relationship and instead of arguing or getting upset you should try to help them overcome this rain on their parade and check up on them regularly and they should do the same for you when you cant always give 100%

No matter what, I always end up alone. My relationship teaches me that I can love and be loved in return without the fear of being abandonned.

I learned that sometimes your emotions and feelings may get in the way of how your relationship is going, but if the person you're with is kind, honest, and willing to listen and help you, there's definitely a reason you're talking to them about your feelings versus someone else.

I learned that I am my own person. Another person cannot complete me, define me, or control me. Im in control of my own choices, reactions, and behaviors. Others are meant to add to my happiness, but they will not create it. If someone chooses to leave me, then good riddance. I deserve someone that matches me and returns the effort and respect that I give. I have love in my life, regardless of a relationship. Myself, my friends, my family. If I find a partner, great. If not, I will still thrive. ❤️

From my previous relationship, I have learned a couple of things:

1. You shouldn't take your bf/gf for granted. They say that they love you or they will never leave you but under the wrong circumstances, they will.

2. Always keep your eyes open! My last boyfriend honestly believed that he loved me but he didn't and he didn't see that.

3. Don't expect them to fix everything that's wrong with you. You want to share your lives together, not put all the burden of your life on him/her. You still have to deal with your own emotions. They will help you, but do not expect them to fix you.

Just because I love someone dearly and would literally give my life to them, it doesn't mean they feel the same way I do. Disappointment and heartbreak is a thing.

I learned that just because a decision hurts doesn't mean it is a wrong decision. Sometimes we need to take a stand for ourselves no matter how hurtful it feels.
