Every day in relationships, we are faced with decisions that make or break how our relationships will go. Our mind are quick to conclude and make decisions in a hurry. A decision in hurry might lead to regret later.

A good decision maker considers three aspects before making a conclusion

1) Value of the relationship in his eyes.

2) Importance of the issue or concern in relationship right now.

3) Personal integrity

Imagine if a relationship is important for you, you may consider a compromise or giving in. Rather than an exit. If the issue is of more significance, then you might likely to stick to your arguments about the issue to make understand other about it. You might make peace if other person counter your arguments with adequate proofs to back up her arguments.

And if you think your reputation is at personal stake even if you know you are wrong, you may likely to not compromise. Because you value your repute more than anything else.

So when you know what you value most over other, you pick your best decisions in that moment. Know what is important for you.

And I learned to take time to make a decision rather than being in hurry. Take time to think. And once you decided, not think if it will be bad or good. You picked the best choice you could in given situation. And outcome is not in your control. How other person will react to your decision will have an impact on the final outcome of the decision.

The final outcome might be in your favor or against. If it is against, better not to regret about it. Instead learn from it.

Be honest and candid with your decisions. Because your relationship future is at stake.

Decisions are hardest thing to make. Especially when it is a choice between where you should be and where you want to be.

I hope you find this helpful to improve your decision making. Do share your thoughts in the comments.
